I stopped posting here principally when I left my role @SouthwarkCofE (where I had good friends and colleagues). Time to close the account now for what it has become. You can find me on other social media if you like.
Loving the French Revolution on @TheRestHistory As a Paris resident, I found a free app that provides huge background info on people, places and events, with cool maps that help you organise your own tour parcoursrevolution.paris.fr

Many of our wonderful chaplaincies in Paris are working hard to meet the needs of visitors during the Olympics. St Michael's is very close to the Concorde and are out each day distributing flyers and open between 3 and 5 to welcome people.
Please remember them in your prayers

Good to gather in Paris and be joined by @AndrewPNunn as he leads Holy Week reflections at St. George’s.
Prayers and thanksgiving for @MotherRoxanne today as she takes her seat and establishes a new ministry @Southwarkcathed and @SouthwarkCofE

Looking for a 2024 Challenge? Whether you are looking to get fit or simply spend more time outdoors the CCR is an amazing way to explore England’s wonderful hertiage and landscape. Stamps, passport and medals available for personal and charity challenges. Good luck.
Great to see the @CathedralsCycle growing in popularity. Thanks to @indiehostelsuk for the guide to accommodation along the route. Could the CCR be your next challenge?@WeAreCyclingUK @nclcathedral @engcathedrals @PilgrimTrust independenthostels.co.uk/cat…
When your new chaplains induction in the @DioceseinEurope is a day long (necessarily on Zoom!) you’re grateful to Henri and his bar/brasserie 10 metres from your front door! Sante!!
Reminded that it’s good to thank your neighbours and community I produced New Year cards to take to local hotels, restaurants, shops & businesses to wish them a good and prosperous New Year. I wanted to thank them for their contribution to our community & their welcome. #Paris
Some uk clergy/ lay leaders are unhappy about Easter eggs before the Christmas season has even ended. No Easter eggs in Paris: bakeries & supermarkets with Galette des rois for Epiphany! If Churches want Epiphany celebrated in the uk, perhaps we might adopt this tradition?

We can’t wait 🎉 #HappyNewYear
“Honour you father and mother, that it might go well with you in the land”. My last act of love was to lay my father to rest in the churchyard that he cared for over many decades. Grateful and sad. Thanks dad.
Not so much “planes, trains and automobiles” as ferries, trains and automobiles for family Colwill as they try to get to #Paris Mega journey, but they made it eventually.
Wonderful services (and choir dress!) at Saint Michael’s today. 9.30 trad, 10.45 all age nativity and afternoon & evening of Tamil worship, dancing & hospitality. Included welcome and signing for the mute and deaf community.
A great privilege and a great occasion! Thank you for this opportunity to serve a truly international community.

Took an evening stroll by the river on Friday evening after a week of builders, unpacking, French admin other joys/ challenges. More to do, but home nearly set up. 1 week until installation.
Adjusting to life here in Paris. Getting to know my local shopkeepers, negotiating with French builders and visiting my neighbouring Catholic Church. #SoulfulParis
