I built Verbaform. Programmable dictation where your voice is the input AND the editor. You speak. Then you say something like "verba trim fillers" and it edits what you just said. Deterministic, local, instant. The complete local product is free. It's live today.

This is a formal request for Susie Wiles and James Blair to stop harassing me with texts and calls. If there is a factual inaccuracy in what I said, send it to me in writing and I will vigorously correct and apologize for any misstatements. I will note that everything I said is substantiated by other senior officials. If you want to file a lawsuit and get into discovery of whether it’s provably true that Ballard and Continental had an undue influence on the White House policy process, do it. I believe we are in an existential moment for the country, and Americans were owed an honest accounting of the past two years so we identify the problems we need to move on from.

SpaceX and Tesla have prospered in Texas, because we were not constantly operating under an oppressive and extractive state government. And I need to be close to the factories, so that I can walk the floor in person. That’s why the first major SpaceX factory was in LA and first major Tesla factory was in SF Bay Area. As California became increasingly difficult, due to extreme taxes and overregulation, we moved our major domestic expansions and HQ to Texas.

Scientists from across the globe are calling on MIT to review its decision to terminate the tenure of David Sabatini after a jury verdict vindicated the ousted scientist and rebuked #MeToo era claims from a former colleague. trib.al/i0W69kW

If @MIT does not review its removal of @DMSabatini’s tenure, how can any MIT professor, scientist or student feel safe?
👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥 On Wednesday, a group of 50 scientists — from 33 institutions, including three at MIT, and nine countries — sent a letter to MIT administrators that said Sabatini’s departure from the university “carried a level of unfairness that did not meet basic standards all institutions should afford their faculty.”

.@MIT What are you doing about this?
🤯🤬 “I may just try to get some $$…” “…I saw that a girl sued NYU for one racist comment and got 2 million dollars…” “But honestly maybe I’d rather get grants and paper acceptances than money…” —MIT’s MeToo hoaxers Dr. Kristin Knouse and Izabella Pena discuss the anticipated spoils of their war against David Sabatini at MIT: Pena hoped for a cash payout of some kind while Knouse wanted career favors she hadn’t earned. (It’s also interesting how Knouse seemed intent on blaming Sabatini for her own stalling career and lack of productivity, despite the fact that he seemed to have bent over backward trying to offer mentorship and emotional support, no strings attached.)

We built Pando, a new Git backend for our monorepo, to handle more pushes and fetches without changing how our engineers and agents use Git. Pando cut push latency by ~80% and now serves nearly a petabyte of Git data a day. We can grow Git capacity alongside agent usage.

There's a buzzy new paper about GPT-6 Astra being able to directly interpret model weights (prompts full of floating point numbers) - I tried it with Qwen 3.8 27B on my laptop and found that, after 45+ minutes, that model could achieve the same thing simonwillison.net/2026/Nov/3…

I think Chandan is right. This is a significant release, the importance of which can hardly be overstated. It is a giant step toward recursive self-improvement.
For anyone questioning whether this post is overhyped, I think they are actually *underselling* the approach. We did similar experiments and found that Claude models can write entire, functional neural net weights from scratch! csinva.io/weight-space-progr…

i've reproduced the results from the MIT blog post today on weight-space programming. but one additional result i have to add: this is a new, step-change emerging capability that's appeared in just the latest set of models.

I swear to you: at least one of the replies here will make you say "what the fuck" out loud
We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math. It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training. We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! 🧵 Blog: rikiyat.github.io/blog/weigh…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
LLM was given weights explicitly as text in prompt and used code/forward passes (per authors' logs) to ablate Qwen looping direction, a known thinking-mode issue per model card. Primarily fixed repetition in that mode, not general 'natively' improving weights/math. rikiyat.github.io/blog/weight-sp… github.com/RikiyaT/lm_und… huggingface.co/Qwen/Qwen3.5-0… huggingface.co/RikiyaT/Qwen3.…

This is clearly how it ends. The machine just recursively optimizes its own weights.

GPT-6.2 Astra is coming soon, and Sam Altman has described it as one of the most powerful models they've developed internally, capable of solving math problems that even the greatest minds on the planet struggle with. OpenAI literally created a benchmark to determine whether this qualifies as AGI, and they're planning to make this model accessible to everyone, with the goal of "benefiting all of humanity."
For AGI to benefit all of humanity, it should help people with the everyday tasks that matter most to them. So we built LifeVal, a new benchmark shaped by feedback from thousands of ChatGPT users on where they most want help from a personal assistant—from finding childcare to accessing government services to managing personal finances. Over the past year, we’ve used LifeVal to measure and improve how well our models handle these everyday tasks. openai.com/index/lifeval/
