🚨 ARREST MADE TWO YEARS AFTER DEADLY SHOOTING OUTSIDE WISE HIGH SCHOOL UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Prince George’s County Police have arrested 26-year-old Jamal Speaks of Hyattsville in connection with a July 2024 shooting outside Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School that left 24-year-old Shahid Omar Jr. dead and a woman wounded. The shooting happened after a vigil honoring former Wise football players Khyree Jackson, Anthony Lytton Jr. and Isaiah Hazel, who were killed in a crash. Speaks faces multiple charges, including first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and firearm offenses, and is being held without bond. Police have not charged anyone with Omar’s murder, and the homicide investigation remains open.
