๐Ÿšจ FungoLabs Genesis Auction: A Different Way to Mint @FungoLabs is introducing a sealed-bid, uniform-price auction for 2,500 Genesis NFTs, powered by Zamaโ€™s Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Hereโ€™s how it works and what you need to know before bidding. ๐Ÿงต The Auction Basics: The Genesis collection has a total supply of 3,232 NFTs. โ€ข 500 NFTs are reserved for a free whitelist mint (gas only). โ€ข 2,500 NFTs will be distributed through the auction. โ€ข The auction is expected around the November 5, 2026 mint. Bidding will take place in cZAMA, obtained by shielding regular ZAMA. โœ…๏ธ How Do You Place a Bid? You submit two things: โ€ข The price youโ€™re willing to pay per NFT. โ€ข The quantity you want to purchase. Your bid remains encrypted on-chain using Zamaโ€™s FHE technology throughout the auction. No one can see your price or quantity, not other bidders, and not even FungoLabs. โœ…๏ธ How Is the Final Price Determined? Once bidding closes, bids are revealed and ranked from highest to lowest. NFTs are allocated in that order until the available supply is filled. The lowest winning bid becomes the 'clearing price' Hereโ€™s the key part: every winner pays that same price, regardless of how much they originally bid. โœ…๏ธ Do You Pay Your Full Bid? โ€ข If you bid above the clearing price, you receive your allocated NFTs at the clearing price, and the difference is refunded. โ€ข If your bid is below the clearing price, you receive no NFTs and get a full refund. โ€ข If multiple bids tie at the clearing price, they share any remaining supply pro-rata. Your bid determines your position. The auction determines what you pay. โœ…๏ธ For more clarification ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ Imagine 3 NFTs are available, with a minimum bid of 500 cZAMA. Four bidders each request 1 NFT: ๐Ÿ”น A bids 3,000 cZAMA ๐Ÿ”น B bids 1,500 cZAMA ๐Ÿ”น C bids 1,000 cZAMA ๐Ÿ”น D bids 500 cZAMA The top 3 bidders win, making the clearing price **1,000 cZAMA**. โœ…๏ธ Here's How Payments Work A bids 3,000 โ†’ Pays 1,000 โ†’ Gets 2,000 refunded. B bids 1,500 โ†’ Pays 1,000 โ†’ Gets 500 refunded. C bids 1,000 โ†’ Pays 1,000. D bids 500 โ†’ Gets no NFT โ†’ Full refund. All winners pay the same clearing price. ๐Ÿ“Œ Important Things to Know Before Bidding โ€ข Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn. โ€ข A small, non-refundable fee applies to encrypted bidding. โ€ข If demand is below the 2,500 NFTs available, everyone pays the lowest submitted bid price. โ€ข Genesis NFTs mint with their traits sealed. โ€ข The holder controls who can view the NFTโ€™s private content.

Today marks the end of the @fomopoly_rh campaign on @rarelistio, but unfortunately, I won't be finishing on the leaderboard. It's frustrating, especially after spending weeks staying active, experimenting with different content ideas and finding fresh ways to talk about the project. I may not have gotten the result I was working towards, but the effort was real. I enjoyed being part of the campaign and creating content around Fomopoly. Not every campaign ends with the outcome you want. Sometimes, you take the experience, learn from it and keep moving forward. On to the next one.

A network can have 1,543 validators and still face a concentration of power. Because decentralization isn't just about how many participants exist. It's also about how much influence each participant can accumulate. That's why one detail in @GenLayer's validator design caught my attention. To qualify, a validator needs at least 42,000 GEN of its own stake. The active set is limited to the top 1,543 validators by weight. But voting weight doesn't grow linearly with stake. GenLayer uses a square-root model. So doubling your stake increases your voting weight by only about 41%, rather than doubling it. This creates an interesting trade-off. Stake still gives validators more influence and provides economic commitment to the network. But diminishing returns make each additional increase in influence harder to achieve through capital alone. It's not a complete solution to concentration. Large stakeholders still have an advantage, and the active set means validator distribution remains important. Still, I think the principle matters: economic commitment should help secure a decentralized court without allowing voting influence to scale endlessly at the same rate as wealth. If one validator keeps accumulating more GEN, how much influence should they be allowed to gain before decentralization starts losing its meaning? That's a question worth watching as the network grows.
GenLayer runs on delegated proof of stake, with one difference: its validators don't just check transactions, they judge them, each with a different AI model. To get a seat on a case, a validator has to lock GEN.

At the @FungoLabs Launchpad, collections can be launched through two different channels. The standard Ethereum channel makes metadata public and readable, just like traditional NFTs. The FHE channel keeps metadata sealed, revealing only the lock, not the underlying content. Studios launching collections can choose their own sealing rules, including sealed artwork and custom alphabets for traits. These rules are enforced on-chain using Zama FHE. A single transaction is enough to make a drop live. Sale revenue goes directly to the studio's wallet, while the platform fee is deducted on-chain. No intermediary metadata server is involved. NFTs can still be traded as usual. The only difference is who gets to see the content and when. @FungoLabs

A marketplace is only as trustworthy as the transaction behind it. This is something I noticed while looking deeper into how @vangrid_io handles spatial data bounties. The interesting part isn't simply that someone can request a 3D capture and another person can earn USDC for completing it. It's how the exchange is structured. Here's how the process works: 1. A buyer creates a capture request and funds it with USDC on Base or Arc. 2. The funds are locked in an on-chain escrow contract before the bounty appears on the marketplace. 3. A contributor selects the request, records the environment using the Vangrid app, and submits the capture. 4. The buyer receives a watermarked preview to review. The raw video isn't downloadable by the buyer. 5. Once the capture is accepted, Vangrid reconstructs the 3D model and provides an orbit preview with GLB/ZIP files. There are some thoughtful details here. The contributor's raw footage remains theirs, while the buyer gets a review process before receiving the reconstructed deliverable. The escrow also means contributors aren't relying solely on a buyer's promise to pay later. The reward is funded before the work begins. One important distinction: payment is released after acceptance, so capture quality and meeting the original brief still matter. I think this is a meaningful design choice for a marketplace dealing with physical-world work. Because scaling a spatial data network isn't only about attracting contributors or buyers. It's also about creating a transaction process where both sides understand what they're committing to. That's an infrastructure detail worth paying attention to @vangrid_io data.vangrid.io/

Vitalik at Devcon? Already happened. Vitalik at the Smoking Summit? That's a different question. ๐Ÿšฌ Vitalik appeared at Devcon 8's opening ceremony in Mumbai, but now there's another event people are watching: the Smoking Summit happening near Jio World Centre. Will he actually make an appearance? I'm leaning NO for now. The summit organiser, @skivthecreator, says he'll try his best to get Vitalik there. That's not the same as Vitalik confirming he'll attend. The market is already live on @XOMarket, created by @skivthecreator. A Devcon appearance is one thing. Showing up at this particular meetup is another. What's your call?
๐Ÿšจ Now live on XO, created by @skivthecreator! XO will be distributing free cigarettes at the Smoking Summit during @EFDevcon Mumbai. Will @VitalikButerin join as things get lit up?

What happens when an AI agent can do more than generate answers? I explored @xona_agent, where agents can access AI tools, research tokens, discover services and pay per use through x402. The interesting part is bringing wallets, resources and on-chain payments into one chat. We're moving from AI that simply responds to AI that can take action. Iโ€™ve been used to asking AI questions and getting answers. Until I realised I could ask it to actually do things for me. Thatโ€™s when I discovered @xona_agent. Itโ€™s an AI agent built on @solana that connects you to different tools and services through a single chat. You can ask it to research crypto projects, check your wallet, get swap quotes, find AI services and even pay for services without having to jump between multiple platforms. I tried a few things, from checking wallet balances and researching crypto projects and exploring AI services, all through one chat. And I like that thereโ€™s no monthly subscription. If a service requires payment, you simply pay as you go. I recorded a little demo of my experience. Have a look ๐Ÿ‘‡

For years, much of crypto infrastructure has focused on getting developers to learn new programming models. Secretโ€™s new approach is different. The focus is on applications that already work on conventional servers. Developers should be able to bring familiar software into an environment where sensitive computations can be protected. Thatโ€™s part of the thinking behind Secret Zone and the move toward confidential virtual machines. A much bigger audience becomes reachable when the technology fits the software people already know how to build.
