The world and the US are very different places when people aren't tripping over themselves to work with the US.
The world order for the last 80 years has revolved around the US. It was the unquestioned alpha. It dictated the terms of the world order, to its great benefit. Wildest thing about America First Trumpism is how quickly the country gave all that up.
Let’s say I have 100 mill so I’d be eligible for this. I make 10% in unrealized gains this year but have to pay 25% tax. So I’m now only worth 107 mill. Where am I going to put my money? Under a ridiculously large bed and earn 0?
