Following his “wrongful arrest” by @HertsPolice while covering a @JustStop_Oil protest in November 2022, according to @PrivateEyeNews photographer @tomsdinner has now been refused access to #CPC2023 because for the first time in four years his security screening was not approved.

The BPPA is deeply concerned police forces are ignoring the UK Press Card and, more worryingly, ignorant of what it is and what it represents. By arresting news gatherers they are going against a long-standing tradition of allowing the media to independently report the news.
