We used to use this word to refer to a type of shop.
We'd never meant or even heard of the racist connotations.
Once it became common knowledge, we stopped.

Today is World suicide prevention day.
Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland dies by suicide. We can all make a difference by checking in on those around us.
I must say it's impressive my GP surgery can cancel an appointment a week away due to ill health but I can't make one....

Sgt Smith with a beautiful German Shepherd that he and the team seized 2 weeks ago.
Now that no owner has come forward the dog has been put up for adoption via a dog charity.
Sadly we can't name the charity involved
