#RBFNodes for #Blender will be released soon with a major update. I wonder if it would be helpful to cover general RBF basics in the video as well, or focus only on the add-on? #b3d #rigging #rigtip #character #animation

I encounter too many rigs that could have used such a thing. Perhaps this'll make it easy enough for people to not skip the alignment step. #rigging
Iโ€™ve been working on a small #Blender tool called BoneGuide. Itโ€™s for one of those very familiar rigging annoyances: creating a bone chain that is actually planar, properly oriented and easy to adjust. Standard tools often fail, so I made my own. #b3d #rigtip Teaser below ๐Ÿ‘‡

Watch the arm swing through its natural range of motion into flexion and extension with minimal scapular compensation. Which layer gives you the best understanding of joint movementโ€”full muscle, deep layer, or pure bone? Let us know in the comments below! #anatomystandard

Oh Brave Rabbit. You make me sad. Why? Because you remind me of my strong dependency. BECAUSE I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT VOLUMETRIC SMOOTHING!! For skinning weights... this tool is must have.
๐Ÿ“ฃ Smooth Weights 3 for #Blender - Faster than ever โšก Another huge performance leap. Up to ~9ร— faster volume smoothing, and even ~27x with 4x oversampling on a 90k test mesh. Faster painting, faster Symmetry Map, faster everything. For you! braverabbit.gumroad.com/l/smโ€ฆ #b3d

Been waiting for this @blender release for quite some time. It addressed some critical issues for me that were introduced in the 5.x series. It's LTS (long term supported) as well. Been testing the beta for weeks now, and so far all is looking good. #b3d blender.org/download/

new project: "micro-scans" aka "being Dany Bittel on a budget" @DanyBittel I bought a toy digital microscope and tried a couple of LEGO rigs over the past week first takes were quite "poetic" but the last one starts being usable :) first takeaway: engineering is hard.

So grateful that at least one software (@blender) maintained the "armature" term for rigging. "Skeletons" can be confusing ... when rigging actual anatomical skeleton meshes. (I work in medical) Excuse to share the beautiful sketch.

Testing a *local* model on an 14 year old machine that was "upgraded" (cough cough) with a 10 year old graphics card (GTX 1060). Blender python results are solid. Speed is usable. Don't toss those "old" machines. There is hope.

This is exactly the kind of headset concept that makes your brain say โ€œof course.โ€ But the engineering challenges to actually make it viable are insane. Great idea visually, but good luck making it comfortable, adjustable, durable, and manufacturable.
