Noise sits at the center of social trading, and i wish i could show you what's coming. I've been talking to vloggers, people in music, streetwear, fashion, and showbiz, and someone who works at a local TV station. these guys are already spotting trends before their audiences get on. the difference between these people and regular users is that "curation" is already their job. the streetwear creators' video on IG/Tiktok is basically a "curator page" with a camera. we are building a page for observation where audiences could show up. the creators' edge is the same edge they already have. just doing the same thing and pointing at the page. call it UGC market or whatever. this is my thesis

In July, we sat around a conference room table discussing whether to shut down Noise. Eight months of runway. A year of work behind us. And the uncomfortable realization that what we’d spent so long building wasn’t working. To understand how we got there, you have to go back to May 2025. We’d just released our first demo. A way to trade trends using social media attention as a measure of their value. We woke up to hundreds of signups. Tens of thousands followed in the months after. We were young, building in New York, and the internet was telling us we were right. So we raised money and got to work. The trouble with early success is that you can mistake enthusiasm for conviction. We felt we owed everyone the exact product they’d seen, even as we began discovering its flaws. The deeper we went, the more we learned how easily attention could be manufactured. The numbers we wanted people to trade on could be bought by anyone with a marketing budget. We were building an enormous amount of infrastructure around a model we were increasingly unsure of. And for months, we kept pushing forward. Meanwhile, our users were showing us something else. We’d added a little button that let people suggest trends. Every suggestion landed in our team Slack. The channel kept pinging. We started rewarding a handful of those users when others engaged with their trend discoveries. Their activity increased 5x! Even after the experiment ended, the group kept coming back. We’d spent a year trying to measure what the internet cared about. But our users were showing us what we’d believed in from the beginning: people discover things worth caring about. So we built a way for people to curate trends directly in the app. It became the most-used part of Noise. It was the simplest thing we’d built. And the closest we’d come to the reason we started. For the first time in months, we knew where we wanted to focus. There’s enormous value in discovering something before the rest of the world does. But people with taste rarely participate in the value they help create. We started Noise to change that. And after a year of mistakes, difficult decisions, and more complexity than we’d ever imagined, we’re returning to that simple belief with more conviction than ever. The soul of Noise is people discovering things they believe in. Curation is the core product behind that. Today, Noise is live on TestFlight. The first 100 spots are in the post below. Come show us what we’re missing.

Day 1 of my 30 days challenge of making launch videos If I'm asked to make a launch video for noise This is what it's going to look like Enjoy 🥂
I started my AI creation and editing journey 5 months ago, and it's been nothing short of amazing so far. Now, I'm ready to take things to the next level, which is landing a job at a company as an AI creator/editor. Over the next 30 days, I'll be building brand trust by showcasing what I can actually create and the value I can bring to a team. See you tomorrow.

i think it's general knowledge that attention moves like a market, and people can feel when something is peaking or dying. Noise is the first thing we've seen that tries to price that feeling directly instead of pricing a coin that stands in for it. what I'd love to find out is whether anyone outside CT will care about the word "relevance" that part has in some way kept outrunning people's understanding of what Noise is.

Rave culture has grown so much in Nigeria... I was at one this weekend and my mind was blown for my first rave experience, it was incredible. I do not think raving in Nigeria has peaked yet, contrary to popular opinion. Would love to bring this scene onto Noise, but i think this would work best when someone inside it creates these pages. maybe a promoter, a raver or maybe a DJ who knows what's up before the people catch on. this is exactly what Noise is built to capture. A growing scene that most trend platforms will miss is strong proof of what we are.

I will be @Nerdwork_ng comic con event in Port Harcourt tomorrow. I would love to speak to creators about what were building at Noise. if you create anything, games, cosplay, art, comics, music, film, it doesn't matter. what we're building at @noisedotxyz is for creators. i want to hear what you do...if this is something that works for you.

the internet is built for creators. nothing on the internet exists without creators. creators should be rewarded for originality. I think about how often tweets or reels get stolen, and how the stolen ones get more likes and engagement than the original. how do we fix that?

Your friends don’t always see what you see. You know they’re missing out. On Noise°, you can back your conviction and get paid for what you just know. Prove them wrong.
