I have issues with sony lile anyone else but lets not pretend this has anything to do with them. Rockstar have always had seperate releases for pc months or even years later.
We lost a Day 1 PC and console release because your greedy ass forced a garbage timed exclusive with no disc. Your shit executive decisions are ruining gaming. You earned every bit of hate coming your way. Hope the PS6 gets jailbroken Day 1.

If AI was so inevitable you losers wouldn't need to be making posts ever few days over the past 5 years claiming that AI was inevitable. Y'all played your hand and people are realizing the fear mongering is just a shitty ass sales pitch to push a shitty ass service.
The anti-AI crowd is digging its own grave. AI is inevitable. You can refuse to use it today, but eventually you won’t have much of a choice. And when that day comes, you’ll be starting from zero while everyone who embraced it years ago already knows how to use it to their advantage. The gap between people who use AI and people who don’t is already enormous. And it’s only going to get bigger. The longer you resist, the further behind you fall. You’re not stopping AI. You’re just making sure you’re the last person to benefit from it.

It's funny how all the pusbback from AI enthusiasts on my last post are like " oh so what you're saying is (example) and therefor i bet you didn't consider this ha you're wrong !" Meanwhile the example is literally never what I have said and they have to twist it over and over again to fit their narrative. I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself before these folks learn to just read what i wrote and respond to what i ACTUALLY said .

It’s crazy how many people don’t understand this. Commercial art is a service. It’s not just about hard skills but how well you communicate, can take feedback, can work collaboratively etc. Soft skills. Any professional team and most business leaders in any industry will tell you: no amount of hard skills make up for a bad attitude. Jumping to conclusions, being needlessly argumentative, making things political when they aren’t, tearing down someone’s work etc None of this reflect well on you. And yes I’m aware not everything I put on social media reflects well on me, but I’m not the one looking for a job. I’m old. I already retired once. If you saw my previous post and your reaction is to get all bent out of shape because I wouldn’t hire you then maybe you need to look inward. Would you be comfortable saying the stuff you do to people online to their faces? Do you stand by your vitriol? Why are you even mad about another artists rates? At some point you need to look in the mirror and realise that art, like any job, has social elements. This isn’t me or ‘the industry’ gatekeeping. It’s you removing yourself from opportunities by proving you lack the skills to perform in the job. Soft skills are important.

I'm sorry but no? This is the textbook definition of a false equivilancy. In all these cases there is active particpation and intent between the creator and the work created. With Gen Ai( assuming that is specifically what you meant here given the examples ) you loose the intent because there is no direct active participation. A better example is paying someone else to do a painting then claiming you are the artist. See how that falls apart ? We are also talking about a "tool" that is entirely trained to effectively mimmick and rip off actual artists work. It's a cheap trick with no inherient value. In the words of the great Guillermo del Toro "The value of art is not how much it costs & how little effort it requires, it's how much would you risk to be in its presence" Gen ai " Art" has no value because it doesn't require risk. It doesn't require participation, it doesn't seek intent. It takes a noisy image and compares it against stolen works, over and over again until it outputs a cheap mimmickry with no soul. It is simply not art and you are not an artist if you use it.
This was real a few decades ago. If you painted on computer screen (mouse or digital pen), you were not an artist. If you used a tracker to do music, you were not a real artist. Now everybody accepts iPad art and digital music. Same will happen with AI.

I actually went to Huddersfield University during the period of time that he was Chancellor. I was lucky enough to attend a lecture he did and briefly speak to him after. It was a couple of months after Logan had released (which is still my favourite comic book movie of all time) - So as a bright-eyed student year old with no filter I had a million questions about his experience playing an entirely different Charles Xavier. He was so warm and welcoming to me and I'll never forget that. We've lost a lot of incredible people over the last few years but Patrick really was a truly unique individual. I hope you know how much joy and warmth you brought into the world and you will be truly missed.
Patrick Stewart's longtime close friend and X-Men costar Ian McKellen shared a touching post on his social media accounts, saying in part, "he wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love." For more tributes: bit.ly/47NpZ6i

Ahh yes. Kids with no access to pen, paper , free software like gimp, krita ,blender etc can buy hardware to use gen AI. Makes perfect sense.
Here's what the gatekeepers won't say out loud: A kid with no art school, no studio, and no budget can now make something beautiful. That isn't the death of art. That's the death of the monopoly.

I don't think you get it @TimSweeneyEpic Valve includes the disclosure because their customers demands it. You would have known if you had built a customer 1st serving store.

Age ratings tell parents what’s in a game so they can make informed decisions for their kids. These AI statements are just as partisan as mandatory political essays or forcing developers to list their voting history to drive cancel campaigns and public struggle sessions.

Forcing developers to write a political statement to be used against them by the hate mob they’re helping organize is abhorrent.

Or hear me out.. wild idea... pick up a paintbrush
AI is not the artist. it's the brush that finally lets people who can't paint pick one up.

artstation.com/artwork/XaaNL… Finally finished off the Old Hand Drill . I've had the actual object sitting on my desk for half a year but trying to find time with a nearly 1 year old causing chaos in the house has been difficult to say the least 😅 Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out, especially the painted wood elements and metallic value separation

Doodling a procedural wood texture in Substance painter with layered heavily worn paint for this old hand drill I've been chipping away at. Long way to go but happy with the direction so far 😅
