the next wave of founders will all be marketers
it's easier for a creative to learn to build than for an engineer to learn how to generate attention
building keeps getting easier and marketing keeps getting harder

I need you guys to understand that being “against AI” like as a stance is like saying you’re against the Industrial Revolution

I've changed how I work over the last few weeks.
I now have one lead agent for each area of focus, running all the time, and a chief of staff agent that oversees them. Each lead manages its own sub-agents that write code, test it, chase reviews, and coordinate with team members.
Everything I need to decide or review comes into one prioritized queue, a simple local web app. Each product review includes screenshots and a video demo of the feature. I clear the queue in batches, mostly by voice and keyboard shortcuts. The leads also bring back ideas I hadn't considered.
Working from one queue, instead of switching between dozens of chats, has cut a lot of mental overhead. The system keeps learning my preferences and distilling my judgment into a "Brian brain," so its recommendations and first drafts get better before they reach me. The goal is fewer corrections per change.
Every change still goes through the same human review and security checks. It is eliminating tasks, not human judgment.
What an exciting time to push the frontier of productivity, especially as we build the economy for agents (agentic finance). We should all keep pushing in this direction.

i think we've reached the point where the cracked marketer is more in demand than the cracked engineer
On our earnings call this week, we were able to point to dramatic increases in AMC’s Adjusted EBITDA, that we are currently free cash flow positive, and that 97% of our debt maturities have been extended to 2031 and 2033.
This means that we no longer need to talk about the trials and tribulations of the past six years. Instead, we will be focusing on all of the many growth opportunities and high IRR projects in our sights and which we can pursue to stimulate increases in free cash flow going forward.
Welcome to the stress-free world of industry-leading and abundantly-recovered AMC Entertainment.

My mental health improved significantly when I started leaving my phone at home. Often. As a default. Go to the gym without it. Go to dinner without it. Take a walk without it. Go to a museum without it. At first, you will start to come up with justifications for why you can’t do this. But once you overcome them, you will start to experience a wonderful mix of creativity & happiness as you unshackle yourself from your handheld dopamine casino.
For the second quarter in a row, AMC Entertainment posted an all-time company record for Revenue and for Adjusted EBITDA, our biggest and best ever quarter financial results in 106 years.
In Q3 2026, Revenues were up 32%. Adjusted EBITDA were up 184%, nearly triple last year’s third quarter.
Our Adjusted EBITDA for the first 9 months of 2026 was $707 million, up an astounding $453 million versus the same timeframe last year.
What a triumph for AMC.
In recent years, where other key players in our industry collapsed, at AMC we repeatedly instead have talked about recovery. Today, we can finally say that AMC has recovered.
To our studio partners, lenders, business partners, employees and our millions of passionate shareholders, thank you for standing with us as we traveled through
a long, and at times brutal, road.
Mere survival was never the goal. Our goal ultimately was to thrive, and that is exactly and precisely where our focus now lies.
We are highly energized by the tremendous opportunities ahead.

If you have strong intuitions about the future, have high agency, and are creative... you need to put yourself in a position where you can act on those intuitions. Ideally with enough freedom to navigate and follow those intuitions as they change. 1 year in the singularity is worth 10 normal years. Think about the opportunity cost of spending a year in something you don't deeply believe in.
