1. Mastodon: my main place
2. Bluesky: most Twitter like but less interesting than Threads.
3. Threads: A reasonable compromise.
It’s well past time for #MedTwitter to find the exit.

Logged onto Twitter just so I could zap this to Specialized. Now back to Mastodon ...
Dear @iamspecialized: The Specialized Tero is a great #ebike for the right person, but your restriction of the rear rack to an overpriced rack/fender combo is pure greed.
I've crossed Specialized off my personal bike list just for that one dumb move.
You should rethink.

If you are staying on Twitter because you think Musk will walk away I think you can give up now. I don’t think it can even go bankrupt since it’s an X company now.
On Mastodon I use the Mona (beta) app but many like Ivory.
Twitter has ended the API access Feedbin was using. That was my last tie to Twitter. I’ll miss @LauraJedeed, the @SaintPaulBike, @gluonspring, @nitinthewiz, @notdred and many others.
I hope some will migrate one day to the fediverse. appdot.net/@JGordon.

"the law should apply to everyone equally" well it doesn't. It never has. Do you want to pretend you fixed that problem by locking Trump up for porn crimes or do you want to keep having a political system where party leaders DON'T routinely spend time in prison

Everybody who said I was crazy for saying DeSantis had no chance was incredibly wrong and I'm going to be insufferable about it for the foreseeable future

Laura Jedeed predicted this months ago. DeSantis has, she told us, negative charisma. @LauraJedeed
Update. My story asking whether DeSantis will flame out cited the February Quinnipiac poll that showed Trump only narrowly ahead of DeSantis. Quinnipiac just today released its March poll. The Trump lead is widening again. poll.qu.edu/poll-release?rel…

Although I'm 95% mastodon (appdot.net/@jgordon, mostly using Mona these days) I'm obviously doing a bit of Twitter.
I currently follow 9 people's tweets/retweets via Feedbin; despite M* threats that still works. I'm slowly adding a few more. This works surprisingly well.

3) FDIC doesn't usually end up putting in a lot of $ at all; whatever the gap is between deposits and liabilities tends to get made up by stockholders and lenders. And anything they do put in is made up for by charging banks higher insurance premiums. FDIC is not taxpayer funded
Noah’s blog post is subscriber only. Usually I skip those but the Baumol tease drove me to Twitter.
Most economists act like it doesn’t exist. It seems to really irritate them. Happily, Smith gives BCD credit. The 3 causes make sense to me.
Now back to Mastodon.
