ok so I went down a rabbit hole on sweat cortisol wearables and I think I accidentally ruined them for myself you know the patches and watches that claim to measure your cortisol through your skin? they have a problem. a big one. and nobody's talking about it. Hold tight

"ok but surely the sweat still correlates with blood cortisol?" - kinda. barely. a 2025 kinetic modeling study tried to correlate sweat cortisol to blood cortisol. raw correlation: ~0.6 for context, that's the correlation strength of "probably, maybe, sometimes"

King et al. (2023) measured sweat cortisol at 4 body sites on the SAME person at the SAME time during exercise: forehead: 1.15 ng/mL forearm: 0.62 ng/mL triceps: 0.65 ng/mL nearly 2x difference. same human. same moment.

I’m thrilled to announce we’ve raised $44M to build a new home for product design. Meet @noondesign. No workflow is more broken and fragmented in 2026 than the product designers’. The very same people who care most about building software don’t have software purpose built for them. @kushagrasinha7 and I have lived this problem first hand as designers ourselves. That’s why we built Noon. The first product design tool that works entirely on your product code, so you can design not only how a product looks, but also how it works. With AI at its core that works in seconds, not minutes. For the first time, you can create, iterate, build, test and ship. All in one canvas. No translations or roundtrips to the codebase and back. Comment “Get Noon” and we’ll get you on the list for early access.

A bit about me - I'm a tech worker, been living in Bangalore for 1.5 years, so I know the city well. I'm easygoing, keep common spaces clean, and generally mind my own business (unless you want to jam). If you know of anything or have a spare room, please drop a comment, DM! 🙏

It is unsettling to realize that we know more about what’s happening on the Moon in real time than in our own bodies.

What makes technology magical?

At every knowledge point when we wish to achieve the said objective, there is one crucial step where we need to first perceive the current state and interact with the built technological system to achieve the objective.

And the peak, the magic is achieved when perception and interaction are so deeply integrated that you don’t need to do anything. That’s where the tech becomes invisible, and feels magical.
