Who knew Duck-shaped Fist(鸭形拳) could win a martial arts championship? 🦆🥋
Beijing martial artist Tang Bozhao took first place in the men's adult other traditional boxing event at an international martial arts competition with this unusual style. Its duck-like movements had viewers joking that it looked more like a dance than martial arts!
But Tang says there's more to it than meets the eye. The low, half-squatting movements make a full routine seriously exhausting, and with proper training, Duck-shaped Fist can also be used for self-defense.
He's happy the video has made people laugh while drawing attention to this little-known style of traditional Chinese martial arts.

Hundreds of Cats, 16 Years of Love ❤️🐱
Meet Grandpa Tang, a cat lover from Nanning, Guangxi. Diagnosed with late-stage liver cancer in 2010 and given just three years to live, he has now lived for more than 16 years.
After surgery, he took over a struggling cat café and went on to take in hundreds of stray cats. Today, caring for his feline companions keeps him busy and brings him happiness.
“When I'm with the cats, I forget I'm ill,” he says.
Sometimes, the joy of having someone (or something!) to care for makes all the difference. ❤️

🌸 Wuhan’s autumn is painted in pink!
At the Yujiatou section of Wuchang Riverside, around 6,000 square meters of pink muhly grass are now in full bloom. Their feathery pink plumes sway in the river breeze, creating a dreamy sea of pink with the mighty Yangtze and Erqi Yangtze River Bridge as a stunning backdrop.
In Wuhan, the city of rivers, even the autumn scenery knows how to steal the spotlight!

A kitten was tragically killed by a passing car. Another kitten summoned all its strength to drag its little companion to the roadside. It may not understand what death means, but it didn’t want its friend to be left alone in the cold middle of the road.
All we can do is stop our cars and help shield them from passing traffic.
To everyone behind the wheel, please slow down a little.

A broken bowl gets a second life! 🥣 Watch as skilled hands bring the pieces back together through 锔瓷(juci), a traditional Chinese porcelain-mending craft. Tiny metal staples are carefully hammered into place to hold the broken pieces together, and here's the surprising finishing touch: egg white mixed with porcelain powder is used to seal the cracks and prevent leaks. Who knew an ordinary egg could play such an important role in restoring a piece of porcelain? 🥚

At Tang City in Xiangyang— a historic city in northwest Hubei Province —Li Bai, the renowned Tang Dynasty poet in plain white robes, takes a sip of wine. He chants his famous poems including “Jiang Jin Jiu” with soaring emotion. With splendid palace halls as the backdrop, visitors feel as if they have traveled a thousand years back in time.
A red balloon has escaped the gallery of the Wuhan Biennale 2026 and found its way into the city — floating past the Yellow Crane Tower, drifting over the Yangtze River and appearing around old street corners.
No longer just an artwork, it has become part of Wuhan’s own urban landscape: a bright, playful symbol of a city where art meets everyday life.
The exhibition may end, but the balloon’s journey goes on. ❤️

🌼 Do you like chrysanthemums?
“不是花中偏爱菊,此花开尽更无花。”
“Of all flowers, I love the chrysanthemum best. When it blooms, all other flowers have faded.”
These famous lines by Tang Dynasty poet Yuan Zhen capture the timeless charm of this autumn beauty.
In traditional Chinese culture, chrysanthemums are admired as a symbol of the junzi (君子) — a person of noble character who remains graceful and steadfast even in difficult times.
At Wuhan’s Autumn Chrysanthemum Exhibition, thousands of blooms are putting on a stunning show — from delicate, cascading petals to fluffy clusters in snowy white and golden yellow.
Graceful and quietly resilient, chrysanthemums don't compete for the spotlight. They simply bloom in their own time. 🍂
Which variety is your favorite? 💛
