Thinking about the hockey moms that spent over a decade of their lives driving their sons to and from hockey practice and games just for their sons to grow up to become Olympic gold medalists who laugh at misogynist jokes at the expense of women

As a Urogynecologist I cannot emphasize more strongly, literally am begging, women to learn about what actually happens and can happen to your body during chilbirth before getting pregnant. Don’t be blindsided. Go in prepared, ready, and certain in your choice to be a mother.

💬 Viewpoint: Despite women facing higher rates of chronic illness and unique gynecological disorders, federal health leaders have insufficiently prioritized women's health in chronic disease research.

Magee-Womens investigator Dr. Jocelyn Fitzgerald coined the term "gyneconomics" to describe the financials behind women's health....and has real impacts:
📉 In a recent study published in the Journal of Women's Health, Dr. @jjfitzgeraldMD and team found that procedures on male anatomy reimburse 30–80% more than on female anatomy.
💸 Financial disparities lead to poor health, lifestyle, and economic outcomes for women.
💬 Reshare to spread awareness.
All of these men with microphones that should be taken away are so obviously terrified by the growing numbers of single, child-free women who have realized that men need women WAY MORE than women ever needed them.
That’s why they’re trying to take away your rights.

What do girls want? ✨Hint: It's not what you think...✨
🔬 With roughly only 9% of NIH research funding dedicated to conditions that disproportionately affect women, we need to support research to close knowledge gaps, find better treatments, and save lives.
🔁 Reshare to rally for women's health.

Women’s financial freedom is totally dependent on them having knowledge and control over how their body works.

I cannot stand by when I am seeing female patients being treated monthly with Cipro for recurrent UTIs, developing resistance, C. diff, needing a PICC line, almost dying, when they could have just been put on vaginal estrogen years ago 🤬
