#ElijaLofton catches the football while in the air and has control, as he gets his feet down, the ball begins to move and he does not maintain control of the football while going out-of-bounds, and was about to drop the football regardless of the defender knocking the football away.
By rule he did not complete the process of the catch, therefore #incomplete is the correct call.
A clip of AJ Brown has also been shared supposedly equating the two plays. It is not the same as Brown has possession, takes at least 3 steps and makes a football move before having the ball hit out of his possession with the football going out of bounds.

Look at loftons body language on the play once it鈥檚 called an incompletion. Doesn鈥檛 even argue with the refs. No emotions besides defeat because he knows he didn鈥檛 have the ball at the end.
