Is there a line for no champion yet? @PatrickE_Vegas or odds of a lockout?
FYI: Brewers win their first World Series, finishing off the Rays in five games.
Brewers then open as the +550 second choice in @CaesarsSports 2027 World Series futures odds.
Dodgers are the +330 favorite.

Pat Murphy began his coaching career at DIII Maryville College.
After 6 years at the DIII level, he talked his way into the head coach job at Notre Dame, spending 7 years there before taking over at Arizona State, leading ASU to the college World Series 4 times in 15 years.
He then spent 5 years coaching in the minor leagues for the Padres before being named to the Brewers Major league staff, taking over as manager in 2024.
In his tenure as a big league manager, he’s twice (likely with a 3rd on the way) won manager of the year, became the first coach to lead a team to the CWS and MLB World Series, became the oldest manager to make his World Series debut and now is a World Series champion, bringing Milwaukee their first title.
What a journey for Pat Murphy

High school athletics is fascinating because the same parent who demands accountability from coaches will explain why their child shouldn't have consequences for missing three practices.
Accountability is apparently a one-way street.

Its truly a crying shame Dave Van Horn had to say what he said after last night's game due to the incompetence of Hunter Yurachek and the BOT. This man is a legend in college baseball. He deserves better. Arrkansas' fans deserve better. #Arkansas #Razorbacks #OmaHogs.

Think the BOT got the message here? Sounds like DVH doesn't want the AD strong arming season ticket holders to raise money for baseball.
Maybe there's a better way to do it. Like nicely asking for donations instead of a pay up or your seats are gone approach.
"We don't know what else to do. Do I want to do this? No. I'd like somebody else to handle it for us. Maybe one day they will."

I don't care what anyone says, this Rays-Brewers world series beats a Dodgers-Yankees matchup by a mile.
Why?
Because money couldn't buy it. Managers and players playing the game the old fashioned way is what both of these teams do.
Another juco kid!
Aaron Ashby is putting together arguably the greatest postseason performance by any reliever:
7 games
14 innings
14 strikeouts
0 runs
4 hits
3 walks
From Travis Feldhaus of ESPN research: The record for scoreless relief in any postseason was set by Goose Gossage in 1981, when he had 14 1/3 innings, zero runs allowed.

Dave Van Horn’s status in Arkansas is untouchable and the fact he has to make a statement like this is yet another indictment of the current athletics administration.

Dave Van Horn appreciates the fans who came out to support the program financially during the Diamond Classic. After all, someone’s got to!
