Mental health issues are real and on the rise. Especially in the younger generation.
However, many mental health problems arise when the ability of our brain to cope (resilience) with life’s challenges is exceeded.
With reduced resilience comes less ability to cope and more mental health challenges.
It’s important that especially our children are allowed to experience small but manageable challenges and difficult situations to build resilience.
Parents and schools need to work on this.
Parents should not unnecessarily shield their children from tough conversations, moments and experiences. Just ensure that these are experienced in an environment of psychological safety so that they’re aren’t traumatic.
A child who has never had to face tough moments will struggle to cope in the real world when they’re on their own.
Also remember that building physical resilience through exercise helps build mental resilience. Exercise and be strong and fit.
Soft body. Soft mind.
Strong body. Strong mind.

What a beautiful life it would be if everyone could simply live the life they wish to live. Married or unmarried. With children or without. Whatever brings them happiness, as long as they aren’t harming or negatively affecting the next person.
Imagine if we all stayed in our own lanes and understood that life is not a group project.✨
Let people love who they love, build the families they desire, or choose not to build a family at all. Ultimately, let people choose the lives that feel right for them and walk their own paths.
We only get one life. Let people live it for themselves.

Most people don't struggle with their relationships, they struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle; you can't expect any relationship to thrive if you are constantly low-energy, emotionally unstable, and physically and mentally far away from the best version of yourself.

The cruelest thing about poverty is that even being poor is expensive. You don’t just have less money. You waste more time, wait longer, travel farther, fill out more forms, make more calls, and pay penalties for not having enough money in the first place. Poverty is the only full time job where the harder you work, the more people assume you’re lazy.

I have made you. I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Intergenerational wealth happens when you figure out how to transfer your optimism, your energy, your values, your stories; if all you leave behind is money, your kids are actually poor.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but most things in life are way more achievable than you think. If you decide what you want, and go after it with full effort and intensity, the world will bend to your will far more easily than you might think. You can just do things.

Never take for granted a body that wakes up and functions without a medical crisis attached to it. That is grace.
