Where's the investment? I just see hundreds of billions going into welfare and debt interest.

We need to talk more about what Gen X and older millennials have been through financially. They survived the 2008 recession, spent years rebuilding, got hit by a pandemic, and then watched housing, groceries, insurance, and everyday expenses become increasingly unaffordable. Now it’s 2026, and people in their 40s and 50s are trying to save for retirement while still catching up on financial milestones they expected to reach a decade ago. At some point, we have to acknowledge that an entire generation has spent much of its adult life recovering from one economic crisis after another.

Socialist Britain, where if you earn over £200,000 you are forced to a meeting with the state, like a suspect being told to visit a police station

Young lads up here can't get a start. Shipyards gone, pits long gone, apprenticeships like gold dust. And Burnham's answer is free movement for 450 million people chasing the same jobs. Train our own fucking kids first.

Rejoining freedom of movement, giving settlement to the BorisWave, and opening legal routes for third world migration. This Labour govt is setting out a manifesto for the obliteration of Britain’s borders and the conversion of our country into nothing more than an economic zone.

Middle class tax
A proposed weight-based car tax is reportedly under consideration ahead of the Budget: £10/kg above 1,600kg for petrol/diesel/hybrid cars and 2,000kg for EVs. My Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid weighs around 1,230kg, so would fall below the threshold. Not yet confirmed policy.🚗

Swimmingly, Reeves & Milliband should have been sacked & thrown out of the Labour Party when Burnham became PM but he’s in on the sabotage
Rachel Reeves was warned but she didn’t listen. “Rachel Reeves’s stamp duty raid has backfired after a £541m fall in tax receipts from property sales more than £5m, analysis has revealed. There were 14pc fewer property sales above £5m in the 18 months following the then-chancellor’s Budget in 2024, when she raised the second-home stamp duty surcharge to 5pc and abolished the non-dom tax regime. Data from estate agents Knight Frank show that in the subsequent 18 months, the number of sales above £5m dropped from 2,569 to 2,208, when compared with the 18 months before October 2024. If sales had continued at the same level, the Government could have earned £3.3bn in stamp duty receipts, Knight Frank predicted. Instead, just £2.8bn was raised” Telegraph

When Thatcher was Prime Minister, she reportedly slept for 4 hours per night, worked up until 2am and didn’t like going on holidays. Fast forward 30+ years and our current Prime Minister has enough time to do a softball interview on LADbible and appear on Googlebox. Decline.
