🚜🐴 Harvest season means busier rural roads across Ontario, with tractors, combines, school buses, commuters and, in some communities, horse-drawn vehicles all sharing the road. Sharing the road means giving horse and buggies extra space. Horses can be unpredictable and may be startled by loud farm equipment or passing vehicles. If you’re approaching a horse and buggy, slow down, be cautious and give as much room as safely possible when passing. A little extra patience can help keep everyone safe on the road. 🚗🐴 Learn more in this week's viewpoint ➡️ ofa.on.ca/newsroom/harvest-t… For more information on road safety ➡️ ofa.on.ca/resources/road-saf… #RoadSafety #ontag

🌾 For #CRSW2026 we’re proud to partner with AORS to emphasize that road safety is a shared responsibility between all road users. Hear from OFA Vice President, Sara Wood, as she shares an important message about how we can all do our part to help everyone get home safely. That means slowing down, staying alert, taking the time to pass safely, and making sure you’re visible 🌱 🚜 Tips for farmers: Drive on the roadway Avoid distractions Keep lights on 🚗 Tips for motorists: Know the slow-moving-vehicle sign Slow down early Pass with care Read this week's Road Safety Viewpoint here ➡️ ofa.on.ca/newsroom/respect-a… For more information on road safety ➡️ ofa.on.ca/resources/road-saf… @AORS_Official @OPP_News #DriveSafe #ontag

🚨🚜 This year, on Canada's Road Safety Week, when you encounter farm equipment on the roadways, it's important to: Slow down early: Closing speeds are faster than they appear, so reduce speed as soon as you spot farm equipment. Watch for signals: Farm equipment may need extra space to turn or swing wide. Only pass when it is legal, safe, and you have a clear line of sight. Be patient and respectful. Let's all work together so everyone gets home safely. Connection activates your brain's reward system. Releases dopamine + oxytocin. Motivates you to bond. Loneliness does the opposite, triggers a stress response that affects your heart, immune system, and mental health. This is why connection matters. #MentalHealthWeek #CMHAHalton
