The fact that America elected Donald Trump … — means someone traveled back in time, and stepped on a butterfly. #RayBradbury #ASoundOfThunder

It’s funny how un-self aware Trump is… Just a tiny bit ! His approval ratings are in the crapper; but he’s like: “What if I do rallies? That’ll fix it.” Then realizes people laughing at his Ass obsession… but he can’t stop. #DeadManWalking
Trump: The fake news only covered the ass part. They said 'what the hell was Trump doing talking about a man's anatomy? He was talking about his ass.' I studied his ass to see where the power came from

New Fox News power rankings. The House is gone to the Dems no matter how the GOP overperforms on election night. Dems good night: 240-195 GOP good night: 223-212 The Senate projection Dems good night: 53-47 GOP good night: 48-52 Ohio senate and governor's races have both shifted from toss-up to lean Dem

I saw a lot of this in the 1990s and 2000s with what are called "twin films" - which are two studios competing to release very similar movies to capture audiences they feared their competitors would win by being either first to market or alone in the market. 1993/94 - TOMBSTONE versus WYATT EARP. 1997 - DANTE'S PEAK versus VOLCANO 1998 - ANTZ versus A BUG'S LIFE. 2000 - MISSION TO MARS versus RED PLANET 2003 - FINDING NEMO versus SHARK TALE. 2005/06 - CAPOTE versus INFAMOUS. 2006 - THE ILLUSIONIST versus THE PRESTIGE. 2009 - PAUL BLART: MALL COP versus OBSERVE AND REPORT. We also see it today in Warner Brothers trying to copy the success of the interconnected MCU by building - so far unfruitfully - a similar DC film universe.
I think we’re incredibly clueless about just how many entertainment-studio decisions are basically one exec’s offensive maneuver against some rival execs at the same studio.

Boy if they fold this theory into Doomsday and Secret Wars, I’ll be genuinely impressed I can’t cap. It’s so simple but made me go damn lol
Doctor Strange didn't pick the 1 in 14,000,605 timeline because it was the only way to beat Thanos. he picked it because it was the only timeline that got rid of both Thanos AND Tony Stark at the same time. go back and watch how Strange talks to Tony on the ship. he realized early on that a guy smart enough to build Ultron and time travel in a weekend was eventually going to be a bigger threat to the multiverse than Thanos ever was.

seems to me like elizabeth holmes' strategic approach to the doc was an attempt to leave the audience thinking "holy shit, we wrongfully imprisoned amelia bedelia"

TRUMP: “Have you seen the crowd outside? 22,000 people watching. We love you out there. They’re watching the Jumbotrons.” 📌 The entire population of Corinth, Mississippi, is approximately 14,000 people. The man can’t even lie right.

Every time I watch this movie I become more convinced that it is actually a piece of undiscovered, prophetic comedy genius and in about 50 years it'll be in the Criterion Collection next to Chaplin's Modern Times.
This movie’s jokes sometimes are so fucking stupid they loop back around to being genius “Yes but not THIS Philippines” has stupid amounts of comedic potential

My review of @elonmusk’s AI Odyssey: “Move over, Christopher Nolan. Now there’s something crappier.”
Watch Episode 1 of our Odyssey series made with Grok Imagine. Let us know in the comments if you'd like a full breakdown of how it was done! Creative collaboration with @WonderStudiosX and director Dev Walker @glumlot_

2. Rewatching the same show for the 12th time instead of starting something new New shows require processing power you don't have. The familiar one gives dopamine without cognitive cost. You know the jokes, the plot, the rhythm. Your brain can rest inside it.

Happy anniversary to The Times They Are a-Changin', the truly cursed Bob Dylan Broadway musical that opened on this date in 2006 (and closed a couple weeks later). For "Like a Rolling Stone," they had the whole cast—wait for it—roll around on stones.
