This is the reality.
This is the actual data on UK trade post-Brexit.
David is not some random guy on X (like me). David is the Professor of Industrial Economics at Nottingham University.
This is the data. The actual data. Not some garbage forecast about a fictional earth.

The reality is UK total (goods & services) exports to EU in 2025 were:
· ⬆️ 18.9% on 2015 (pre-referendum)
· ⬆️ 3.8% on 2019 (before leaving EU)
· ⬆️3.2% on last year.
All in real terms (source: ONS trade statistics)

“Ludicrously, President Macron blames his people’s pummelled pocketbooks on Trump’s war with Iran. But the knock-on effects of newly higher oil prices are dwarfed by the effects of decades-long mismanagement of public finances. “

These numbers are utter nonsense , in the real world the U.K. has outperformed the Eurozone . Our trade with the eu is good and with the rest of world up and up
The EU fee was about £12.6bn a year, whereas the estimated Brexit loss of output is now roughly £170bn–£230bn a year, with an associated loss of tax revenue of roughly £65bn–£85bn a year. That makes the fee equivalent to only about 5–7% of the estimated annual GDP loss. #BrexSHIT

It’s make-up-your-mind week for Chancellor John Healey.
He resigned because he knows we need more defence spending.
After more evasion than an SAS patrol behind enemy lines, he needs to pull the trigger on properly funding our armed forces.
If he doesn’t, he must resign.

It's a "total betrayal of Brexit Britain" says Farage as dodgy Rayner backs Burnham's plan to rejoin the EU 'freedom of movement' scheme.
They have no mandate to do this, but democratic principles and accountability don't matter one bit to this Labour government.
It's a disgrace.
As a government you can choose immigration policy. If it is wrong it is your fault. Free movement would give that away. Opposition parties should declare they will reverse this madness

Andy Burnham has told the Sunday Times that he is open to readopting free movement as part of a closer relationship with the EU. This would be an utter affront to all those - including the millions of working-class voters in Labour's traditional heartlands - who voted for Brexit. At a time when our immigration system remains completely broken, it would also be a calamitous own goal. Under no circumstances should the Labour party go along with it.
If we have another Labour government with the policies the PM is pursuing it will be an economic disaster and the end of Britain as a nation , Eye Lash Andy will have terminated a thousand years of history liveapp.inews.co.uk/category…
There will be no cherry picking only smoke and mirrors and gerrymandering
Why Andy Burnham is making the right call to say that EU freedom of movement is not (or no longer) the problem portrayed by some, and why Britain would not have to join Schengen or the euro if it rejoined the EU:

If EU immigration is supposedly less permanent, how does Burnham explain (1) that we have around 6 million EU citizens with permanent rights to live here under the EU settlement scheme, and (2) that we are still granting applications 6 years after leaving the EU?
Andy Burnham first discussed his theory that EU immigration might be less permanent than post-Brexit immigration (and so perhaps better for the UK) in his interview with me on @GBNEWS last month.
CH: You said immigration controls weaken Brexit, but Brexit gives you the power to control legal migration. Boris Johnson ignored that. The Boris wave happened. He was punished at the polls. Brexit gives you the power you want to be a sovereign nation.
PM: One thing that I want to convey here is Brexit has changed the nature of immigration to this country, because in the past, when we were in the European Union, people can have their view about it, about whether it was good or bad. But what we had was a more revolving door form of migration, where people would come here in their younger years. Many people did from Eastern Europe. People would remember, and they'd maybe spend you know a few years here in their mid to late 20s, and then go home and start a family, and that was a very common form of immigration. Now, immigration is more likely to be a permanent settlement, where people are coming on a visa to work here. And then we saw obviously the Boris wave and the changes that came through in that in that period. So it's changed the nature of immigration.
Seems an “honest” discussion is not on radar Mr Burnham - project fear lies are being resurrected

Exports to the rest of the world have gone up. The eu has no single market in services, our biggest exports. On free movement , good luck asking people whether they want no control over who comes in - many times more than the boats telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…
