We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work with us at our farm in south Norfolk. It’s mainly an arable role, so cultivation, drilling and telehandler experience is a plus. Email me at [email protected] to find out more #farming #job

Corbyn demands a general election over, and over, and over, and over again. Then, when he gets to chance to have one, he bottles it. Weak, weak, weak, weak, weak.

First symptoms of beet yellows virus (BYV) in commercial beet near Diss, Norfolk and ⁦@UPL_UK⁩ herbicide trials. Beet mosaic virus also present too from earlier aphid activity. Hopefully sprays have prevented secondary spread. ⁦@BritishSugar⁩ ⁦@NFUSugar⁩ ⁦
The #Brownhares are out playing this morning with the #skylarks singing over head. 9 hares in total on this particular field

First symptoms of Beet yellows virus seen today in trials inoculated 14 days ago. Large numbers of winged aphids continue to fly in East Anglia & south Lincs. Vigilance required but observe spray thresholds ⁦@BritishSugar⁩ ⁦@NFUSugar⁩
Handy having flea beetle on side for once! Nibbling on the bind weed and not the crop! #fleebeatlle

We redrilled 10 acres of beet on the 17th may Due to rooks and 6 days later they’re up and away! #bbro #sugarbeet

How 48hrs can make a difference, with new licences protecting rooks it has left one field vulnerable to attack loosing around 90% of plant population to them, considering redrilling today #sugarbeet #bbro #rooks

Despite the flea beetle finding a new taste for #sugarbeet19 and the lack of rain, the crop seems to be moving on fast this year!
