I think this might be the single most deceptive and ultimately destructive federal budget I have seen in my lifetime.
More than $700 billion in new debt. Interest payments exploding to more than $85 billion per year.
And more than half of this borrowing is being hidden from Canadians.
476 billion being spent “off the books”.
The result of accounting gimmicks and manipulation by this Prime Minister to conceal what is ultimately the largest borrowing binge in Canadian history.
It’s the kind of accounting malpractice that could cost you your license, or even jail time, if tried in the private sector.
And incredibly, despite all this borrowed money, there is almost no help to deal with affordability or the cost-of-living crisis.
Instead, it is being spent on corporate welfare, insider handouts and a massive increase in the state’s involvement in the economy.
And to put that interest cost mentioned previously into perspective? Well, a family of four will literally have to pay $6,000/year in federal taxes just to pay the interest on the federal debt.
A number set to rise to $8,000/year by 2031.
At the same time, the government is also sneakily ramping up immigration to the highest levels in Canadian history.
654,000 new permanent immigrants – the largest in a single year.
Part of Mark Carney’s globalist vision, which he wrote about in his book, to dramatically increase Canada’s population to 100 million people (known as the “Century Initiative”) through mass immigration.
Further depressing wages, while straining an already unaffordable housing market, a collapsing balance sheet, and an overcapacity health care system.
Conservatives will never support reckless deficits that threaten the future fiscal capacity and stability of our country.
And we will oppose mass immigration that will depress wages while making housing less affordable and health care wait times longer than ever before.

💥Scandalous: permanent residents could be collecting social assistance while sitting on a couch in India under IRCC's existing framework.
Under existing regulations, migrants accepted under IRCC's permanent residency program only have to prove they have lived in Canada for 2 years within a 5-year window.
While entry/exit data exists and can be shared with CRA and ESDC, the data is not regularly checked, and most files continue without active review of travel history.
A person who keeps a Canadian address and bank account and does not report a change can continue receiving payments even while living elsewhere.

In its budget, the government has just announced that it will bring 15,000 elderly parents and grandparents each year, under the family reunification program.

So what if a Muslim wins an election in America and becomes a congressman or senator? Why is that any different from a Buddhist winning an election?
Because Buddhism is a religion. Islam is a state.
Islam has a population: the ummah. It has a constitution: Sharia. It has courts, criminal law, family law, taxation, rules for minorities, doctrines of war and peace, and a foreign-policy framework governing relations between the land of Islam and the lands outside it.
The ummah is not tied to Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, or any other modern country. It crosses all of them.
Islam's population "Muslims" belong to one political-religious community.
That is fundamentally different from Buddhism.
A Buddhist American may practice Buddhism faithfully, but Buddhism does not give him a second universal political order with its own law, sovereignty, territorial doctrine, and theory of government.
Islam does.
This is why reducing Islam to “just another religion” misses the point.
Muslim officeholders are literally citizens of another existing country, and their loyalties can never be American first, because the two projects are contradictory.
Add to that the religious hatred of Jews in Islam and the special relationship between Israel and America.
A Muslim in a position of power in America, with a religious mandate to hate Jews, will not approach Israel from the perspective of what is in America’s best interest, but rather from the perspective of what Islam commands him to do.

Yesterday the 45-year-old Tunisian man pictured on the right pleaded guilty to the murder of the 32-year-old Tunisian woman pictured on the left. The heinous crime happened in Montréal in 2023.
Canadian legacy media is reporting that the murderer, Mustapha Khalil Mechken, is a "Montréal man." In fact, Mechken wasn't Canadian, nor was his victim, and he wanted to return to Tunisia.
Tunisian media (e.g., Business News) has referred to him as, "Le Tunisien Mustapha Khalil Mechken."
Mechken had been living in Canada for about a decade prior to the murder. He was unemployed at the time of the murder.
The couple met online and married in 2021. Ben Yedder moved to Canada shortly after they married, did studies in a software program, and began working in software development.
A few days before the murder, Mechken searched, "Je ne veux pas m’occuper de mon petit" (I don’t want to take care of my child) as well as information on inheritance rights in Canada.
Narjes Ben Yedder was defenseless and sleeping, when she was stabbed 49 times by her husband for the "crime" of being pregnant. The murderer stabbed her 32 times in the abdomen.
The final sentence for Mechken has yet to be imposed, but a joint recommendation of life with no parole for 22 years was made.
A rough range for the proceedings costs in a case like this are likely in the low-to-mid tens of thousands in total public resources, potentially significantly higher depending on the proceedings.
Now Canadians will pay for his prison term. The average annual cost to incarcerate a male federal inmate in 2023/2024 was $150,000–$157,000.
The rough taxpayer cost for the post-sentencing period alone, assuming he serves the full 22-year parole ineligibility period and that incarceration costs stay constant (ha ha) is ~$3.3 million to $3.5 million.
These estimates don't include pre-trial incarceration or the costs to the taxpayer associated with the murder investigation.
