My open letter to Conservative Party MP David Davis regarding his dangerous & disgraceful IRA lawyer comments.
Britain cannot continue to arm Israel while claiming to oppose its genocide of the Palestinian people.
I joined UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese & others in Westminster to discuss the need for stronger action against the Israeli regime.
Limited sanctions are not enough while Britain continues to provide Israel with military & political support.
Sinn Féin has called for a full arms embargo, serious sanctions on Israel & an end to British support for the illegal occupation of Palestine.
The British government must be held to account for its role in enabling Israel’s actions against the Palestinian people 🇵🇸
🏆 What a year for Naomh Éanna!
Huge congratulations to the players, management & everyone involved at the club on winning the Antrim Intermediate Football Championship.
League & championship double, & an entire season unbeaten. Some achievement!
Enjoy the celebrations!
Today, my thoughts are with the victims of Jeffrey Donaldson & their loved ones who have shown immense courage in coming forward & seeking justice.
The 15-year sentence is another important step towards accountability & recognition of the victims’ suffering.
It is a significant moment for the victims & their families who have shown great resilience throughout.
However, it cannot undo the abuse they endured.
The focus must remain on supporting the victims in the time ahead.
We must also increase our efforts to end the scourge of violence against women & girls in our society.
Giving the British government the final say over prosecutions of its own state forces is an insult to victims & families.
Political interference is not justice. It is the protection of those who should be held accountable.
The British government has bowed to a military lobby determined to shield its own from prosecution, regardless of the crimes committed against Irish citizens.
Victims & families have waited decades for truth & justice. They deserve accountability, not political protection for those responsible.
Sinn Féin will oppose any attempt to deny them either.
The DUP labelled the people of the Garvaghy Road a “rabble” & a “lawless mob”.
Now Jim Allister says the Garvaghy Road should be “sanitised”.
Unionist leaders are in a race to the bottom, trying to outdo each other with reckless & sectarian comments about nationalist people.
But our message is clear:
The days of the Garvaghy Road community, & nationalists across the north, being treated as second-class citizens are gone.
And those days are not coming back.
Not now. Not ever.
The unwanted orange march will not go ahead.
Today is for the residents of the Garvaghy Road who have stood tall, proud & determined.
There will be no going back.
Not now. Not ever!
The British Secretary of State must step in & stop this unwanted march.
Sinn Féin stands squarely with the Garvaghy Road community.

From today, every home will receive ÂŁ63 off their electricity bill.
Sinn Féin Ministers are working hard & doing everything possible, with the limited finances here, to support workers & families through this cost-of-living crisis.
We know these payments won’t solve the crisis.
And that’s why Sinn Féin is continuing to challenge the British government to put proper, meaningful support in place for workers & families.
