Wondering what it will take for the “academic revolt” to happen. If not this, then what? Service is one thing, but estimates like these reveal something wayyyy more aggressive. JMO
Single trial example of strike foot impact forces (vertical; horizontal) in a D1 pitcher throwing. Back to my bread and butter after all this larning RE the upper extremity finally “existimg”.

Having the tech is cool. But the people and a transparent approach are key.
Does everyone involved know and understand the purpose and goals of your team-centric lab? That’s when the magic starts to happen. Keep your eyes on rhis group at @TTU_Baseball @TTU_Biomech
looking for a funded PhD studentship in biomechanics, emphasizing baseball pitching?
reach out to learn about what we at @TexasTech have for F27.
In addition to our pitching lab pictured, we have traditional overground and treadmill gait labs for secondary research projects. – at Lubbock, TX
Never measured 60’6” so many times in my life. Time to wire it all up!

Just in: unboxing the @BertecHQ force-instrumented mound. Adding ground reaction forces with our @theiamarkerless mocap system. Time for comprehensive #pitching assessments! @TTU_Baseball you ready?

Blaming Tech for this mess is such a bizarre take. We’re doing what any other program would do.

Into the win column!

Training stimulus = the motion athletes create/terminate (momentum; m*v)
Training strategies = control load moved (mass) & the velocity of the load moved
For sport transfer: create ⬆️ momentum in training vs sport (don’t lust for velocity)
Don’t miss the forest for the trees.
More fun exploring elite pitching kinematics in the @TTU_Biomech and @TTU_Baseball pitching lab!
Another day in the (fun) office!!
The upper extremities actually exist…
