Why have I seen next to nothing about @claudeai's Duet here on X?
Is it still only in a small selective preview or is it just not good?
Genuine question: Since all Grok Bots are accessible in the Grok iOS app directly, is there any reason to keep the dedicated Grok Bot app anymore?
Not going to lie - it's been almost a month after the initial release of @ChatGPT's Dots.
Based on this note from @thsottiaux I would have thought we'd have gotten the ability to create "entire teams of them" by now... I guess their definition of "soon" is different than mine.
That's still the only real downside of Dots compared to Grok @bot in my experience.
Anyone else reluctant to by the iPhone Duo because that means your iPad Pro becomes the world's most expensive paperweight?
Yeah, that's me.
Oddly enough, I wonder if the smaller front screen on the iPhone Duo will help stop people from just the habitual "pull your phone out and click on social media and scroll for 2 minutes and then put it back, then rinse and repeat every 10 minutes without even thinking about it" phenomenon.
Maybe because the front screen is less optimal for viewing content, it would mean people will be more intentional about the time they spend with their device because it would mean opening it to have an actual good social media experience.
Me personally, I removed all social media and entertainment apps from my iPhone and only use them on either my Mac or my iPad. I quickly realized I didn't miss them nearly as much as I thought I would.
Now every time I go on instagram it's for like 1 minute and I realize how wasteful it really is.
Alright this is actually huge and might actually have me using this over ChatGPT Dots.
I used these as my main drivers so this will make life so much easier. Obviously assuming Notes is included this though…
Kind of unbelievable that more developers aren't updating their apps for the iPhone Duo.
Here's mine, ClimateIQ, updated in less than 1 day.
Deliberately tried the same tasks tonight in Grok @bot and @ChatGPT Dots. Based on everything I've been seeing on X lately, my results were not as expected:
Task 1 Prompt: Check my voter registration and register for mail-in application since I'll be out of town on election day.
Grok Bot: Requested my driver's license # and DOB even though that info is already available in my 2nd brain. Successfully confirmed I am already registered to vote. Got stuck on a captcha when trying to request a mail-in ballot. After my captcha completion, it successfully completed the request and submitted it.
Dot: Didn't ask for any additional ID info, confirmed my voter registration status. Went through to end of the mail-in request, asked me to confirm. I stopped it at this final step because Grok already submitted my request.
Winner Task 1: Dot
Task 2 Prompt: Order me on Amazon the same bar of soap that I've ordered a few times in the last couple months.
Grok Bot: Checked my emails for recent soap purchases - found one from 2025, but not the one I've ordered recently. After me saying that was wrong it opened Amazon, found my recent orders, went to the checkout page, and then got stopped by Amazon's AI Agent blocker and said it can't go any further.
Dot: Initially tried it's cloud browser, but got hit with AI blocker nearly instantly while looking in recent history. Switched to Chrome, found the correct soap, put it in cart, asked for final confirmation. I said "approved" and it placed the order successfully.
Winner Task 2: Dot
These are obviously 2 very specific requests, but I stand by the fact that ChatGPT Dots' ability to initiate Computer Use or Chrome, make it much less likely to leave tasks unfinished.
Yes it is absolutely true that Dots guardrails will have it stop more frequently asking for permission, but when granted permission it is much more capable to completing any given task.
It’s pretty clear that if you want to grow a following in the AI community on X, then you should praise Grok/Grok Bot and trash talk OpenAI.
Not sure if that’s organic or not but 100% seems to be the case.
When most of my posts were about Grok @bot I doubled my followers in 2 weeks. Since I’ve been using mostly ChatGPT lately and talking about Dots more, I’ve gained -2.
Anyone else suffering from what feels like AI burnout?
Constantly trying to keep up with the latest trends, updates, abilities, models, agents, connectors, plugins, MCP’s, subscriptions, workflows, etc. is just exhausting at times.
The scary thing is, we are only just getting started with all of this. Progress is not going to slow down, and the competition is only going to get tighter.
Sometimes I kind of wish I was part of the 99% of the population who pays 0 attention and are clueless to what is happening. I know that’s not real and I love that I’m part of this community here on X as being the leaders/early-adopters in AI. But man it can be too much to keep up with sometimes…
This is so spot on.
It completely removes the illusion of smoothness that the video is trying to portray.
Just in case you wanted a giant Apple Watch for your house!
I’ve been asking for an Apple smart display like this for a longggg time, but this is not at all the implementation I would have expected…
Why a square screen? I want it to display my personal photos when idle and no matter configuration is used, pics would either be cut off or cropped.
Well I guess I’ll just keep my iPad as my display using the Canvas app I built for my custom slideshow 🤷♂️
Looks like I’m coming back to Muse.
The only thing holding it back was the model’s base intelligence.
That is now not an issue. In fact, it could be powered by the best agentic model available on the market.
Exciting times!
Maybe the best thing I’ve been using my Dot for is managing Home Assistant.
No more dealing with the clunky Home Assistant interface for creating/updating automations, or figuring out how to hook up various devices or entities.
Literally just tell Dot to do it in HA and it’s done 30 seconds later.
Heck yes! This was one of the biggest issues with Dot in that it couldn’t see, interact with, or manage any existing threads or automations outside of what it spun up itself . That is fixed now with this update.
Thanks @thsottiaux and team - no reset needed today!
Replying to @ChatGPT
Delegate work in Codex to your dot.
Your dot can now start work in Codex and follow up on existing threads, drawing on your ChatGPT conversations, Codex threads, and automations. It’s also better at deciding when to keep a thread going or start fresh.
Your dot can also review and edit Scheduled Tasks in ChatGPT Work, too. Ask what’s scheduled or update a recurring task as plans change.
Ugh, so now do I need to get used to using regular ChatGPT again instead of just asking my Dot for everything?
Is this “Intelligent UI” worth it?
