“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” – Psalm 115:1
“Take, Lord, receive all my liberty, my memory,
my understanding, my whole will,
all that I have and all that I possess.
You gave it all to me, Lord; I give it all back to you.
Do with it as you will, according to your good pleasure.
Give me your love and your grace; for with this I have all I need.”
– Ignatius of Loyola (1491–1556)

I actually felt this ad while I was listening to it. Please MN, let’s vote to return to being a State we know we were and we can be once again. Vote accordingly.

Minnesota is more than a place on a map.
Our money, our elections, our flag.
Our home. Minnesota.

“You are a sinner, a great, desperate sinner; now come, as the sinner that you are, to God who loves you. He wants you as you are; He does not want anything from you, a sacrifice, a work; He wants you alone.”
– Dietrich Bonhoeffer
“It’s a bad habit worth breaking if pastors are running to their phones, and to their feeds, every spare minute they get.” ~ Thomas Brooks
HT Thomas Brooks. I think he said something like this.
Don’t rest where the devil plays.
The enemy doesn’t always need to destroy you. Sometimes, he just needs to distract you.
What we turn to for rest can quietly become what pulls us away from God. Not everything that helps you escape is helping you rest.
Be intentional about where you turn for peace.

The Christian life *is* spiritual warfare.
Here’s a 33-min podcast for pastors and leaders on how to fight well.
Here’s what it looks like to do God’s work the Devil’s way ⬇️
Choosing productivity > prayer.
Choosing a book > your Bible.
Or seeing people as attendees to retain > souls to shepherd.
Just because you are busy doing God’s work doesn’t mean you are doing it God’s way.
Don’t take the shortcut.
Start with this: “Jesus—what would honor You most?”

One evidence of a transformed life is a simple longing for Jesus to be who he is and do what he’s said.
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.”
– Psalm 85:6-7
And this is why I will not vote for her. I’ve never voted for a pro-choice candidate. Won’t start now.
Paul doesn’t say, “*When* we wrestle, it’s not against flesh and blood.” He says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood” (Eph. 6:12).
Paul assumes we already know we’re in a fight.
Spiritual warfare is not merely part of the Christian life. The Christian life *is* spiritual warfare.
Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
– Romans 6:13
“What Satan cannot do by force, he will endeavor to do by fraud. He has several subtle policies in tempting. ... He is first a fox, and then a lion.”
– Thomas Watson, 1669
