Pastor of @rbcgilbert | The church needs less celebrity, less coolness, and less compromise; it needs more conviction, more courage, and a lot more Jesus.

When your trial whispers that God does not love you, look at the cross. When your guilt says He cannot forgive you, look at the cross. When your suffering says He has abandoned you, remember the cross where He abandoned His Son so that He would never abandon you.

Replying to @GovernorShapiro
Governor, you can say "abortion is health care" all day and it won't alter the fact from which you wish to distract us, namely, that abortion is deliberately killing a living member of the human species--a human being and as such a bearer of profound, inherent, and equal dignity.

With Ephesians 5:22-33 in mind:
Husbands, if Jesus treated the Church the way you treat your wife would anyone believe in Him, love Him, or serve Him?
Wives, if the Church treated Jesus the way you treat your husband would anyone think Jesus is worth loving and believing in?

The Bible does not begin with an argument for God’s existence. It begins with God. Scripture assumes what every conscience already knows: Someone made this, and we answer to Him.

1 Chronicles 29:11 says everything in heaven and earth belongs to God. Not most things. Not the religious parts. Your career, your calendar, your bank account, and your body. There is no secular category in a world the Lord owns.

One day you will stand before Jesus and see with perfect clarity that none of life was ever yours. Your house, your body, your marriage, your money. That is not meant to terrify a believer. It is meant to change how you live today.

Redeemer Live - Thank you for joining us this morning! xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1RKZzzeam…
Adam was not a symbol. Jesus, Paul, and Luke’s genealogy all treat him as a real man. If there was no first Adam, Paul’s whole argument that Christ is the last Adam collapses.
Where are you saying mine about something Jesus calls His? Your time. Your money. Your body. Your influence. The question was never whether you are impressive. It is whether you are faithful.

Tolerance used to mean you could disagree and still be kind. Now it often means you must pretend there is nothing to disagree about. That is not tolerance. It is agreement by force.
