“Nobody cares about women’s basketball.” 🤔 #ncaaw #wfinalfour @ncaawbb

Getting sappy for a sec, but watching the Finals at a women’s sports bar, Blazers, is truly a wonderful thing. Like, we used to have to throw requests at random sports bars just to be shrugged off. It’s been standing room only all game long.
Do the people on #TheTraitorsUS know that they’re not actually getting murdered?

I don’t think you guys can possibly understand how much this show meant to my childhood
An exciting opportunity for a young defender with potential for a bright #USWNT future, but I’m sad not to see @sarahlgorden on roster. She is in the best form of her career, is one of the top defenders in the NWSL, and can bring the leadership needed to an injured back line.
Roster Update: #USWNT head coach Emma Hayes has called up @UtahRoyalsFC defender Kate Del Fava from the #U23WNT as an injury replacement for our upcoming October camp.

We made an honest mistake yesterday and we are sincerely sorry for that.
When we welcomed the Watt family to America First Field, we should have recognized Kealia Watt for exactly who she is.
Kealia is a Utah native and one of the most decorated players to ever come out of this state. Kealia won four state championships with her club and four more in high school, and was a two-time Utah Gatorade Athlete of the Year. She was a U.S. youth national teamer at 13. At the U-20 level, she scored the game-winning goal in the World Cup final.
She started four years at North Carolina, won a national title with the Tar Heels, then went No. 2 overall in the NWSL draft to the Houston Dash, and was the franchise’s first-ever college pick. She then became their captain with 114 appearances and 28 goals. Kealia finished her career with the Chicago Stars (then known as the Red Stars) and is now a soccer analyst for Amazon Prime Video.
@KealiaOhai, @JJWatt — we are deeply sorry. Thank you for all you do for the sport.

Welcome to the show, ATL 🅰️
For the first time in franchise history, our starters have scored double-figures in consecutive games and 100+ points in three straight games. That's All-Star behavior!

UNC head coach Jenny Levy wants more transparency regarding two overturned UNC goals — one that would have put it up 10-7, and the other which would have tied the game at 12-12.
“I’m not looking at the review and I haven’t looked at the film, but it seems to me that we have a lot of work to do with our game. It’s unfortunate.
They didn’t give us an explanation on what it was. We clearly saw on our iPads what it was, so probably disagreed with that. I thought that those were momentum-changing decisions and I thought that our team had to battle through that, and we didn’t do as well as we could.”

While negotiating the retired player recognition payments for the new CBA, Tina Charles brought up the idea that, if a retired player is deceased, their beneficiary should receive the payment. That made it into the final agreement. Just one aspect of the rich legacy she left off the court in lifting up others

Great story from friend and legendary coach Brian Cosgriff: Amaya Battle and Nia Coffey are now both with the Lynx. Well, Nia used to babysit Amaya when she was in 2nd grade and bring her to Hopkins basketball camp. #LosLynx
