NEW: Kevin Lamour, FIFA's chief operating officer who went public with criticism of Infantino's World Cup sell-off plan, has been fired. FIFA council members have been told that "the decision was made with careful consideration and with great respect for Kevin". As Lamour said in his statement a couple of weeks ago, at least he can sleep at night now.
