Blockers are not 'safe' for anyone, but in the case of a precocious puberty, they are used short term and safer than letting an 8 year old child go through puberty. When that child comes off blockers, nature takes over and they have a normal puberty.
This is NOT the case when children are put on blockers before Tanner Stage 2 and continue on them, until after nature's puberty window.

What if there was some way that we could find out whether someone really is gender dysphoric and not suffering from PTSD from child sexual abuse, or clinical depression, or some other health issue that they have mistaken for gender dysphoria as they aren't actually doctors or therapists? That would prevent the huge distress that de-transitioners experience.
That would be great wouldn't it. Or would transactivists object to that as 'conversion' and ban it, even though you can't actually 'convert' someone out of being trans who isn't trans in the first place?
Detransitioners prove that some people shouldn't have transitioned in the first place. It gives the trans community a bad image to have people who were mutilated for the wrong reasons. TRAs need to take ownership of that and support psychotherapy before transitioning.

The campaign to allow men into women's wards in Australia seems to have failed dramatically. I read that Australia is considering making all wards mixed sex.
So TRAs will still have to share wards with people of the opposite sex, which will spoil their sexual fantasy of being in the ward for the opposite sex and it will still leave them sharing with the exact same people they wanted to get away from. It's so ironic it's funny.
