A Chinese fan’s review of Kim Yoon-sik’s performance in Eternal Night 🩵 After watching Eternal Night, a Chinese fan shared a thoughtful review of Kim Yoon-sik’s acting, praising his screen presence, dialogue delivery, emotional expressions, and potential as a young actor. ➡️ Here’s the full translation of the review. ⭐️His screen presence As an actor, he has both the technical skills and the natural talent. And his face really speaks for itself! I used to worry that his features were so delicate and fair that he might not have enough presence on the big screen. But that’s absolutely not the case. Kim Yoon-sik has a grounded, steady presence on screen. He carries his costumes with confidence, and his face has both beautiful contours and a balanced, harmonious look. He looks fantastic on the big screen. ⭐️His dialogue delivery I’ve praised an actor’s dialogue delivery many times before, but his lines in Eternal Night are both light and powerful. I wonder if anyone else understands what I mean. His lighter delivery perfectly captures the quiet stillness of the night in the film, while his heavier delivery reflects the emotional weight inside the character. The way he conveys emotions feels incredibly natural. It’s a very mature approach to acting. I’m not sure whether this is the result of deliberate practice or something that comes naturally to him in the moment. I lean towards the former because his acting in variety shows used to feel quite raw. I watched a couple of them and gave up. 😂 But his acting in this film is so smooth and mature that I believe Kim Yoon-sik must have worked hard to polish his skills. ⭐️His eye expressions The challenging part is the eye expressions. He has captured some of it, but not quite enough yet. This also depends on experience and the range of roles an actor has played. I’d say he has captured around 70% of what the role requires in terms of eye expressions, but conveying the specific look this character needs is genuinely difficult. ⭐️A promising future Overall, as a young actor, he has so much potential, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he develops and improves. This role is completely different from his previous ones, yet he has delivered a performance that is nearly mature and remarkably smooth. It shows that he is a naturally talented actor who is willing to take on different kinds of roles and has the ability to perform across the board, rather than only shining when he gets a role that suits him perfectly. Even the areas where he still falls slightly short are simply part of the growing pains of a young actor. They are like tiny grains of sand on his journey towards becoming a better actor, and they make me even more excited to see what he can achieve in the future. ⭐️One final personal thought!!! Fans should understand just how difficult good dialogue delivery really is. It’s not easy at all!!! And I completely agree. Good dialogue delivery can make such a difference. Sometimes, one line delivered well is enough to make you fall for an actor all over again. 🥹🩵 ➡️ Some comments from other fans “This was still him two years ago (?) I can’t even imagine how much he’ll improve in the future. He’s getting better every day. Kim, your future is limitless! 🥺🥺” “I understand! 😭😭😭 Good dialogue delivery really is so important.” “Seriously, there are so many male actors, but one line from him and I’m already done for. His dialogue delivery is so good that I’m willing to give up watching the visuals just to listen to his lines!” Blogger: 拒绝番茄入侵地球 Cre on pics. #KIMYOONSIK #EternalNight
