Colonial logic means that the oppressed are guilty not only for asserting their humanity through resistance but also for the savagery of those they’re resisting. They are simultaneously the violated and the violence.

Decolonize the body. Decolonize vocabularies. Decolonize this, that and the third. People are so used to using decolonization as a metaphor. When actual decolonization that threatens material relationships & power happen a lot of these decolonization as a metaphor ppl are shook!!

Here are some books about Palestine by Palestinian authors that you can read to help to better understand historical and current contexts. Some are fiction, some are memoirs. While you’re here, do check out Amar’s book list as well. xitter.cf/amus______/status/1711…

Central London right now is a vast, heaving, electrifying refusal to stay silent - in the face of abominable violence, and political leaders who insist that silence (or cheerleading) is the only acceptable response #Gaza

A woman is killed by a man every 3 days in the UK. Giving a huge platform to a man to fantasise about violence against a woman he wants to “parade naked through the streets” dangerously legitimises the violent thoughts of men all over the country.

Read about horrifying cases of predators using loopholes in the gov rehoming scheme for sex or worse:
Some men lied about having several bedrooms in their one-bed homes while another proposed sharing a bed, writing: “I have a large bed. We could sleep together” thetimes.co.uk/article/singl…
