I'm telling you... this is the sleeper issue of the race... The Harris plan to let Medicare cover home health care in lieu of having seniors deplete all of their savings to qualify for Medicaid is huge for folks in this situation.
Q: How do you propose to make both child and elder care more affordable?

FML. I am quite possibly unemployable. I keep getting to the third or fourth interview and not getting the job. I cannot keep putting myself through this.
So much this. I’m about to be 44 and K is 48. I so wish I had gotten my shit together and had three kids. Ours have just turned 9 and 7. I totally could have had one more who would be 5 now and an absolute riot.
i should have had more babies 😩 😭 but now my oldest is 14 and my youngest is 8 and i’m 41 and my husband is 51 and while it’s still definitely possible it doesn’t feel in keeping with our season of life
and like, i understand why we stopped when we did, but 33 year old me didn’t know what 41 year old me knows. it’s not fair that less-wise Melissa got to make serious decisions on behalf of incrementally-wiser Melissa
