This is the definition of bad faith, sadly. Yglesias reluctantly conceded in his interview with me that it’s not a fair comparison between Michigan and North Carolina - given NC didn’t have AIPAC spending, Islamophobia, presidential interventions, Dem ratfucking, former incumbency, etc - but then he goes just straight back on Twitter, waits for the election, and then reposts the same tired partisan talking point.

After 2y we abandoned Covid precautions in the community
Sent lots of Covid cases to Emergency Dept,
And lots of Covid-assisted cases,
Then stopped wearing masks in hospital,
And our EDs have since become backed up beyond recognition
I wonder if there is any connection

This is why I don't trust people who never test. It was established back in 2020 that about half of COVID transmission is from people who (1) aren't showing symptoms YET, or (2) won't develop any symptoms at all. It *permanently* damages your organs even if you don't feel it yet.

So police are investigating people who protest Ford's removal of bike lanes for "hate crime", and the Canadian military has been scanning social media to identify people criticizing Ford.

It's pretty shocking to learn today that the Toronto Police Hate Crimes Unit is investigating bike lane protesters. And that those protesters have been hit with restrictive release conditions banning them from virtually all protest. I am glad the @cjc_TO is on the case!

Here is the Covid debate in a nutshell....
On one side you have "Covid is dangerous" backed by 500,000 peer reviewed publications showing the damage Covid causes, coupled with the reality that more people are sick more often, for longer, more severely.
On the other side you have, "Covid is mild", backed by, "the government said so", with zero proof, publications, or even real world evidence to show it to be true.
There really is no debate, it's just facts vs fiction at this point, and the fiction is winning because its less work and more comfortable.
Policy should match the reality.
