I still prefer Robinson’s “graphicacy” as a visual equivalent to numeracy and literacy.
“Visual literacy” always seems subservient rather than equivalent.

As usual, hearing excellent researchers reflect on their work retrospectively is a highlight of #IEEEVIS.
Maybe it’s my age, but I could do with more of this.
