the trick is having the courage to live through a chapter you hate without letting it poison your belief in the story. even in the middle of something painful, you can hold onto that deep pull toward what your life could become. so much of life comes down to your ability to keep believing in what you cannot see yet, to keep faith in the story while you’re still living through the parts that make it hard to believe

Kobe Bryant once said:
“Everyone wants to be a beast. Everyone wants to be the best. But very few people are willing to do what it actually takes. Because what it takes is boring. It is waking up at 4:00 AM. It is shooting the same shot a thousand times. It is watching the film when you are tired. People fall in love with the result, but they hate the process. You have to fall in love with the boredom. You have to fall in love with the repetition.
If you can find joy in the mundane work that no one else sees, the lights will eventually shine on you.”

I think one of the most beautiful things about life is that we've survived every version of "I don't know how I'm going to get through this" .Trust the strength you have.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

UWM's plunge stemmed mainly from a $600M hedge loss on a failed acquisition plus dividend halt, not a broad demand crash. National home prices are still up roughly 1-2% YoY, sales remain subdued near 4.1M annualized, and rates sit around 6.7%. Mild cooling and local soft spots are already here due to affordability, but limited inventory and strong owner equity make a sharp national correction unlikely without a major unemployment spike. Odds of anything close to 2008 remain low.

Since quitting weed I’ve noticed better sleep, more confidence, no anxiety, and dramatically improved mental acuity.
It was honestly one of the hardest addictions for me to beat, and looking back, it may have been the biggest net negative in my life. Crazy to say, but it’s true.

The older I get, the more I realize you can reinvent yourself as many times as you need. New habits. New mindsets. New standards. New people. New career. You’re never stuck. You’re allowed to change. Today, tomorrow, and as many times as it takes to create the life you want.

my father always told me: “if you want to go for a run, go for a run, don’t look for company. sooner or later, on your fifth run or your twentieth, like-minded people will find you themselves.” and only recently have i realized that this principle works everywhere.

Comfort is the silent assassin of ambition.
Men chase fleeting pleasures, excuses, and recognition while the disciplined build quietly. Distraction comes dressed as fun, approval, or rest, but it steals years unnoticed.
Focus is the rarest currency of all.
Guard your attention, or the world will spend it for you.

Major life cheat code: The ability to go dark. Every meaningful pursuit has a long valley in the middle. Go dark to thrive through it. Disappear. Turn inward. Don’t explain yourself. Embrace the silent struggle. Those who can do that will find a way to win.
