RACE CALLS: Four out of the five Washington Supreme Court races can be called. Democrats have successfully gotten their preferred candidates elected in these four races.
Justice Colleen Melody (Democratic-affiliated) defeats Scott M. Edwards (Republican-affiliated)
Jaime Hawk (Dem-affiliated) defeats David Stevens y Perez (Rep-affiliated)
Justice Theodore J. Angelis (Dem-affiliated) defeats David A. Larson (Rep-affiliated)

RACE CALL: Hawaii's Question 1, which would increase the time for the state's Senate to act on judicial appointments made between April 1 and December 31, has PASSED.
RACE CALLS: Colorado's Amendment 85 and 86 have FAILED.
Amendment 85 would require plain language and an eighth-grade reading level for ballot measure initiatives. Amendment 86 would require the redistricting commission and the state Supreme Court to approve mid-decade congressional redistricting.
NEW: The Trump administration has voluntarily dismissed its lawsuit that sought to segregate ballots from more than 20,000 residents who the administration claimed might be noncitizens.
“In light of the Supreme Court’s denial, the United States is evaluating how to best ensure that American votes are protected, including by preventing vote dilution by noncitizens. In addition, by the time of this Court’s hearing on November 13 in this matter, California will have already commingled the challenged ballots with lawful ones. There is then no way to get the challenged ballots segregated. As a result, the relief the United States sought and needed is no longer available—rendering voluntary dismissal necessary because there is no longer Article III jurisdiction.”
