I remember when this film came out, and the praise it received from mainstream critics. I continue to find it odd that it can’t be had on blu-ray.
Good news - the heretofore hard-to-find film Into Great Silence is available to stream on Formed, in high quality video. watch.formed.org/into-great-…
How bad will the midterms be for Trump’s revolution? Where does MAGA go from here?

Ross Douthat was put on this earth to induce public fitgures to calmly, smilingly, and winsomely confess that they are psychopaths.
.@AbdulElSayed says it’s ok for MEN to be in girl’s locker rooms.
Why?
“Well because they are going to find out about it on the internet anyway”
Completely unacceptable.

Indeed. Christianity is now a hedge against the "sex recession". Weekly sex among married churchgoers has barely budged since the '90s. Among secular married couples, it’s fallen from 64% to 48%.👇🏽

Is there a religious reversal among America's youngest adults?
New Pew: Youngest adults (18–22) are more religious than those just a few years older (23-26):
✅ Attend services: 41% vs. 27%
✅ Pray daily: 34% vs. 26%
✅ Religion very important: 36% vs. 27%
Their attendance even tops the national average (33%).

"Sorkin should be happy. He tried to make a plucky underdog story when, in fact, his side won. The NGOs who spun up “misinformation” as a global threat got everything they ever wanted and more."

Fascinating exchange in @juliadyost’s Interesting Times with an “ethical” pornographer.
You can turn “raunch” dial to 11, but it’s not going to erase neuroticism or the risk of intimacy.

ALT But is this true? It seems to me that most of the messaging to girls and women is sex-positive, and pornography certainly has been normalized to the extent that it's been widely adopted. So who needs to hear the good news of sexual liberation? Lust: I don't agree. Sex-positive messages — yes, some of them we have. Empowerment messages — yes, some of them are out there. But at the same time, I still see so many women worrying about their own sexuality, about what they project to the world, how they are dressing, what kind of sex they want to have, what kind of sex they accept having.
