Across all grade levels, between 16 and 22% of students in ELA, and between 11 and 17% of students in math were on the cusp of proficiency. These students were, on average, only 1 to 3 additional correct answers from achieving proficiency. Providing on-time and targeted supports to students on the cusp of proficiency will contribute to improving student performance in ELA and math across all grade levels.
