Finally got the hardware I needed to build an ADS-B ground station. Set it up to feed into ADSBExchange and some other flight tracking services (like FlightAware). Using the live system data I could see a plane was going to fly overhead, looked outside and boom - there it was!
I’m increasingly creeped out by empty @Waymo cars parking themselves and sitting idle - but on - across the street from my house. Happens many times a day (and night). Not a fan.
What a start to the week @garywhitta showed up to personally deliver one of his GunDog model kits. Can’t wait to put it together!
In the last two weeks I’ve been peed on, pooped on, and vomited on… (all by an infant…just to clarify) and I still think being a dad is the best thing ever.
Ahh, I’d almost forgotten the spectacle of the “Infant Poop Fountain” - I was just as shocked and amazed this time as I was when I first encountered it two years ago. Being a parent is rarely dull.
Looks like I’m going to get to welcome my second daughter to the world later tonight (or, if she’s like her sister, the very wee hours of the morning). Guess she couldn’t wait the week and a half until she was scheduled to make her appearance.
As I get back into running, I'm looking for some earbuds that work great for running (sweat resistant, don't fall out easily...) - anyone have recommendations?
Not a bad way to spend the weekend. And my daughter loved playing in the lake for a few hours. Her joy made everything worth it.
