IONNA has seen a number of CCS charging station handles, localized particularly in the Midwest, with a bent ground pin. This could cause subsequent damage to vehicles that would plug in after the affected car / adapter damaged the CCS connector. What they are doing to stop this spreading is really interesting: Daily health checks from an IONNA Employee in IN, IL, OH, MO Complete network / country wide connector physical health check at every site nearly complete just after a few days 😮 They have ordered every adapter available on the market to test and retest to make sure it’s not a problem that could be linked to a new part What you should do: - Inspect every connector / inlet before plugging into CCS. This could spread to all networks / stations if not caught in time - If you find a bent pin please tell me, @tommolog or @ionnaofficial and we will disable that connector and it’ll be replaced ASAP Right now this is impacting an incredibly small number of users but to squash the problem we’ve got to get ahead of the spread.
