The iPad would be a great family device if it had support for multiple accounts like the HomeView does. It has been a feature request by many since the iPad was announced in 2010.

I interviewed my brother about the thing nobody plans well: how to build a second thing without dropping the first. He's done it. Thirteen years at Collins Aerospace while building a security company that now runs 100 people. squaredawaylife.com/posts/th…

Apple and a Hacker's Future
I was happy for years in Apple's walled garden; with AI, however, their protections feel like limitations.

My thoughts exactly. Dismissing an artist's work as slop because they used a tool for their creation is overly critical. To put it plainly, it's just mean.
We need more precise language for the spectrum of art, writing, and code that can be produced with or absent technology.
Fine art and production stock are not the same. Moving literature and spec copy are not the same. Novel architecture and boilerplate are not the same.
All of these can be created with technology and contain immense beauty, inspiration, or utility.
But when we mix our slop cannons in with our AGI pilled artists, or pretend they are one in the same, we risk throwing the generative baby out with the bath water (or conversely, pretending like mindlessly prompted garbage has equal value.)
Be precise!
Use every tool available!
Make beautiful things!

Here’s a video clip of the spectacular fall colors reflecting on Burns Lake in Whitefield, N.H., as the sun was preparing to set tonight. This is in northern New Hampshire where peak is near.
I had some photos I took that I made into an Omarchy theme. It's designed for a pleasant feel, with a high contrast top menu bar and window selection.

"Slop" has become a comfort blanket for a cohort of programmers stuck somewhere between anger and bargaining on their way to acceptance. There might be some kicking and screaming, maybe a little crying, but eventually you have to let the blanket go and update your priors.
“EXHIBIT A!!”
Fantastic keynote. A must watch.
Photography collapsed a profession, but turbo charged adjacent ones. AI has done the same with programming.
It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! youtu.be/vDjW_dRyKXY?si=6Fsf…

Starting off this day right!
I am absolutely fascinated with the idea that a fully devoted community of developers can upend a technological giant whose MacBook line was arguably made popular by those same developers.
This is the way to go if you're technical enough. Cloud providers are now bordering on the ridiculous when it comes to price structuring and vendor lock in. I'm using Coolify (coolify.io) for this.
My boring self-hosted tech stack.

People acting like you need +10 managed platforms to run a SaaS company.
You really don't.
The software is free and open source, and this stack runs a 7-figure SaaS business perfectly well.
Fantastic plugin that creates a nice, paved bridge out of the walled garden.
iMessage on Omarchy. For real. No SIP off, no daemon, no private API.
Blip is an Omarchy bar plugin + app. Tailscales to your mac for the messages, one ssh socket does the rest.
Blue bubbles, groups, photos/attachments both ways, tapbacks, read receipts, link cards, contact photos, all of it.
