A coach once told me that the beauty of college football is its human element. Unlike the NFL, where the better team usually wins, college football has always been shaped by the intangible: Emotion. Tradition. Pageantry. And sometimes, the truly inexplicable. It’s in those moments that the sport is at its purest, most beautiful form. My greatest fear for this new era of college football is that, in the pursuit of maximizing its commercial value, we’ll sacrifice the very soul that made it so special in the first place.

sure, expand it to 24 teams... but you'll NEVER take away our memories. 2006-2023 (the most MAGICAL era of college football)

Happy to support two FUMA alums at once. Christian Piazza is donating a portion of sales from his book, Winning Beyond the Field, to Casey Kroll’s Big Man Foundation. Can’t wait to read it once football season ends. Go FUMA PG Football #grindnowshinelater @c_piazza74 @kacefb @FUMAPGFootball

people will be so snobby about arts and literature and then look down on sports as if this isn’t the most visceral expression of the indomitable human spirit. sports distills what it means to be human in a way no painting ever could

Drew Mehringer Appreciation Post: - Huge part of the Duck’s success the past 5 seasons. - An elite recruiter who left the Ducks with a stacked TE Room. - Developed a 1st round pick in Kenyon Sadiq and likely another 1st round pick in Jamari Johnson Thank you, Coach! 🦆.

How did a former all-women’s college - tucked amid the Virginia mountains, football-less until the 1970s - become one of the nation’s fastest-ascending athletic programs? From Curt Cignetti to Bob Chesney and now to Billy Napier, inside the “JMU Way.” bit.ly/4ea4tfo

Love that @_willcompton mentioned Barbie. The coaching spouses behind the scenes keeping everything together deserve a lot more recognition than they get.
