James Thomas has been running the New York City Marathon since 1980, and tonight he completed his 43rd. After crossing the finish line as the last man in the race, he told me this would be his final marathon. His mind still wants to keep going, but his body can no longer do it.

Imagine purchasing a phone outright and then signing up for service with a telecoms/mobile service provider (which you also pay for). The idea that the telecoms provider can make extra money on the side by sending unsolicited ads from third parties to your device is kinda wild.

Martin Sheen says one of his biggest regrets is not working under his real name, Ramón Estévez, because a Hispanic surname in 1959 New York was not an advantage.
