Last week at @imbue_ai we asked people to reimagine their digital life with craft supplies, then brought their ideas to life in Imbue Studio Someone made this fish tank todo list out of cardboard, paper and markers. We took a photo of it, gave it to Studio, and turned it into a working digital tool! (it even has the cardboard theme 😂 ) There’s something very magical about being able to sketch the software you wish existed, then watch it become real 💫 If you're curious, you can join the Studio waitlist here! imbue.com/product/studio

Whoa, @lukefernandezio made his desktop into an RPG world in Studio 🤯
Loved this and wanted to see how far I could take it. Working with apps in Studio this way is a ton of fun. Thanks for the inspiration, Ming!

This inspired me SO much: you can make your computer desktop a little digital RPG world!
what if your personal computer felt like a little world of your own? Ming used Imbue Studio to build an interactive personal dashboard with daily briefings, an AI assistant that remembers her tastes and preferences, and tools she can create and customize as she goes your software, your imagination, your world 🌱

“Studio is a real paradigm shift” Some love for Imbue Studio from our early testers — thanks Luke! ❤️
I built two versions of the same app. One with Grok Bot and Cloudflare, and the other with Imbue Studio (@imbue_ai). The results are making me rethink how I work with personalized software. Since its launch, I've used Grok Bot for almost everything. Paired with Cloudflare's durable objects and Alchemy for infrastructure management, I've been able to rapidly build almost anything I've wanted. I wasn't looking for a change. It already felt great. But testing Imbue Studio this past week made me notice some things I was missing out on. When you build an app in Imbue Studio, you don't have to think about the way your data is stored and secured. You don't have to choose or understand the stack your app is built on. And you don't have to think about bundling and packaging and distribution. I still think about those when building on Cloudflare. Now, it's worth saying: I'm technical. And I love to tinker. So, I'm not exactly the target audience for this. But for less technical users, Studio is a real paradigm shift. All of your apps are in one place. Complexity is abstracted away. Sharing is built in and well thought out. You can pretty much build anything you can think of. If this sounds like it would be valuable to you, go check them out and get on the wait list: imbue.com/.

you should vote for scott wiener if you live in sf, you've either already received your ballot, or you need to register to vote. if you're new to sf, welcome, may this place hold your dreams & ambitions with the utmost respect. i would encourage you to take part in protecting it and helping it grow, so that generations after us get to live in the only true optimistic city in the world. our community has forever been fighting to lower rents, to make it safer, and to elevate the natural beauty that blesses the city. on that ballot will be scott wiener vs connie chan. scott wiener is one of the most effective politicians in the country. connie chan is one of the most ineffective politicians. on the left & on the right, our country has been taken over by people who's political theory is that you come up with the solution first and then get into office to enact it, even if your solution does not work. we are being held hostage by people who cannot spell nuance, by left-wing populists that blocks decarbonization, and right-wing populists that blocks reindustrialization. if you are in san francisco, then you are aware that all the world depends on this city. here in this city are the folks with their hands on the wheel. the folks who do not understand nuance have created a dangerous world & a wrecked economy. all the world is held up right now by san francisco, the light of the future & the wealth of our nation is driven here. our city has problems. those problems have been either directly created or actively encouraged by connie chan. connie has blocked nearly every plan, policy, or program that builds housing & lowers rents that has ever been proposed. but nearly everything that has actually gotten passed, was literally written by or supported by scott wiener. in her time in sf, connie fought against transit, against bike lanes, against parks, and against housing project after housing project. scott has worked tirelessly to fix san francisco and california. for years, he was a lone soldier in pushing for policies that work, rather than ones that don't. and he has done this by understanding nuance. scott changes his mind based on evidence, because he doesn't care about the solution, he cares about fixing the problem. what does connie say she'll do when she gets into office? subsidize demand. what does scott want to do? build 8 million new homes. register to vote, vote scott

Some lovely thoughts on Imbue Studio vs Grokbot :)
New workflow loading! I'm very excited to try out @imbue_ai's new Imbue Studio to see how it works and how it stacks up against Grok Bot, Muse, etc. I will be running as much of my business (tailfin.co) as I can on Studio this week and will be sharing my findings here. Curious if it's a good fit for the way you work? Follow along.

This is an actually reasonable take
Replying to @Steve_Yegge
LLMs are pretty obviously not conscious though, and it's worth being clear about that (and why) LLMs are mathematically equivalent to a book. This is literally true: LLM = Large Language Model = f(w, s, t) -> o (w: weights, s: seed + settings, t: token input, o: output tokens) They are *pure* functions (no side effect) Thus they exist in the class of f(ℕ) -> ℕ Since t and o are fixed size, any such function may be rewritten as an *explicit lookup table* (ie, literally printed into a book that maps from input args to output) Thus, LLMs are mathematically equivalent to a book. You do not think books are conscious. QED. Note: I am talking about LLMs! This doesn't mean that agents (with tools, that execute over time, etc) couldn't be conscious. However, it's worth recognizing that here's something categorically different between humans (and other living things) and LLMs (and other mathematical constructs)

More and more, I’m replacing my phone with personal apps I built in Imbue Studio. On my phone it looks like a regular home screen. This todo list, I made to work exactly how I want it! Feels like such a relief to have apps that aren’t constantly trying to grab my attention

And this is why we built fine-grained permissions into Imbue Studio, so agents can read, label, draft emails without being able to send. Gmail doesn't normally let you do this. This kind of safety is not incentivized by growthmaxxing! Makes me hesitate to use OpenAI agent products :/
Today, @ChatGPT dots really fucked up bad! I asked it to write me questions on what to ask the owner of a store I was looking to lease. dot decided to email the city, city planner, zoning inspectors asking questions itself! This may have caused the deal to fall through 😡🤬 My girl and I are furiated! I entered the same exact prompt into: @bot @CueAgents @AskPerplexity @Muse & neither of them even considered emailing without my approval! wtf is this? @OpenAI My girl is so pissed bro, like wtf man, I’m not even sure how to fix this - we’ve been working on this deal for 3 months bro 🤦🏻‍♂️
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
OP mistakenly told his Dot to get written zoning determination. The Dot did as it was asked. x.com/0xdippo/status… x.com/ChrisUniverse/… x.com/ChrisUniverse/…

I've always felt it weird to treat agents as team members. To me, computing is a creative medium where each step expands what I imagine to be possible. Something about the "team member" frame feels creativity-dampening. Not sure why, can't put my finger on it 🤔
I went to the Grok Bot x Notion event last night. Main takeway: Grok Bot's mental model is a work team. Each agent has a role - PM, EM, engineers, design, chief of staff....
