Wake up, wake up, wake up its the first of the month!

My biggest issue with Retail WoW Midnight S2 is that I just don't feel incentivized to keep gearing or pushing content beyond the first couple weeks. I'm a fairly casual player despite putting a lot of hours into the game. I'm an AOTC only raider who exclusively raids with my guildies. I have no interest in Mythic raiding, and I'm perfectly happy with that. I enjoy tanking M+ and usually push into mid-range keys, but I don't feel the need to chase the highest possible rating. When most of my BiS trinkets come from raid, Heroic level gear is accessible through the Vault, and +10s provide enough gear progression for the content I actually enjoy, what's the incentive to go further? Heroic trinkets and Myth-track gear from the Vault are more than enough for what I'm doing. The pug community hasn't helped either. Performance is one thing, but the attitudes are exhausting. Seeing 3.9k rated players jump onto alts and expect a mid level key to be run like an +18 is ridiculous. As a tank, if you don't pull their exact route or play how they want, suddenly it's a problem. I've had almost zero desire to push keys this season, and that's disappointing because I genuinely enjoy tanking M+. I understand that higher-end players have different goals, and that's perfectly fine. But I feel like a large portion of WoW's playerbase consists of people like me. We raid with our friends, chase AOTC, run some keys, and enjoy the game without needing to compete at the highest level. This is why I'm looking forward to WoW: Forever. I want a game where gear upgrades feel meaningful, the world matters, and the community feels connected again. Where the people you meet and the adventures you have are just as important as the gear you're chasing. Retail is starting to feel less like an MMORPG and more like a gearing and dungeon queue simulator. I don't need endless progression or a leaderboard position. I just want a reason to care about the progression I'm doing. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I can't imagine I'm the only one feeling this way. #WoW #MythicPlus #MidnightS2

Interesting post talking about WoW: Forever & Retail one of the comments said. "I am only going to play retail, some of us have put over 20 years into our retail accounts" this is such an interesting take because all the time invested to be as strong today as you were 3 years ago due to constant progress resets.
