Really proud of @kcpublicschools student Zoe. She testified asking the @portkc board to deny a 20-year tax-break for a high-end apt building on the Plaza & gave compelling testimony asking for the support of schools instead! (Unfortunately, they approved the deal.)

Had to go say hi to @KCPS_Hartman principal/ @kcpublicschools legend, Dr. Kirksey. Her first “First Day of School” w/ KCPS was in 1966 - she taught 1st grade. Today, she’s parked herself at the front desk - greeting kids & parents by name. She 💛s these families & they love her.

Today’s the @kcpublicschools KCPS-Fest @KCPS_East ❤️‍🔥 Passing out thousands of backpacks w/ school supplies + fliers about Right to Counsel & the @KCTenants hotline. Offering onsite physicals & other wellness supports, too❤️‍🔥 – at Kansas City, MO
