As a 9/11 widow whose husband was murdered in the South Tower, I take issue with the suggestion that the “MAJORITY” of 9/11 families support these petitions. Based on what evidence? Who surveyed us? I certainly wasn't asked, and I do not support turning over control of the World Trade Center Memorial and Museum to the federal government. I respect the firefighters, survivors, and families who feel differently, but no individual or group should presume to speak for all of us. We have different experiences, opinions, and concerns, and every family's voice deserves respect. My greatest concern is preserving the truth of September 11. Twenty-five years later, many of us are still fighting for transparency, accountability, and justice. Why would I want to give the federal government greater authority over how that history is told when so many questions about its own failures remain unanswered? Who would control the exhibits, historical records, and narrative? What safeguards would prevent future administrations from politicizing or sanitizing that history? The Memorial and Museum already have access to federal funding programs, and the Pentagon Memorial recently received National Park Service affiliation without surrendering day-to-day control. There are ways to protect and fund Ground Zero without handing over its management. As for the annual commemoration, I have always believed that September 11 should be about the victims and their families, not politicians or political agendas. I appreciate anyone who genuinely wants to honor our loved ones, but please don't confuse a petition or a handful of interviews with the collective voice of thousands of grieving families. I have never forgotten September 11. I live with its consequences every single day. And Never Forget means protecting the entire truth, not surrendering control over who gets to tell it.

This is good news, but the fight is not over. The Senate just rejected the NDAA that would merge our military with Israel’s, which will now proceed to the House. Call your senators & representatives and tell them not to support the NDAA until the merger w/ Israel (Section 219) is removed. The senate switchboard number is: (202) 224-3121
US Senate Democrats block $1.15 trillion defense bill over Iran war objections, @ReutersZengerle reports (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Democrats blocked a $1.15 trillion annual defense policy bill on Tuesday, citing frustration with the Iran war and President Donald Trump's failure to consult with Congress about his decision to send U.S. forces into the conflict. "Trump started this war without authorization, without a strategy, and without an exit," Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Senate's Democratic leader, said in a Senate speech announcing he would vote no. The procedural vote on the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, failed. Even though the yes votes outnumbered no votes by 50-46, the bill fell short of the 60 votes needed to move ahead in the 100-member Senate. The vote was along party lines. Every Republican voted in favor of moving ahead except for the chamber's Republican majority leader, John Thune of South Dakota, who voted no under Senate rules only in order to enter a motion to reconsider. The bill had been expected to stall, after nine Democratic members of the Armed Services Committee voted against the NDAA when the panel considered it last month. The NDAA typically passes with strong bipartisan support. Democrats are concerned that authorizing a huge Pentagon budget would be seen as approval of the war on Iran that began with strikes by the U.S. and Israel on February 28. They also object to the Trump administration's push to increase military spending to a total of $1.5 trillion this year, including several hundred million dollars he has requested in a separate spending bill, even as social programs for Americans are being cut.

The families of 9/11 victims have carried a deep pain since those tragic attacks—& the FBI's disturbing failure to disclose critical evidence only prolongs that pain. The American people need & deserve long overdue answers & accountability—now.

Prosecutor Ryan informed the MilComs they found over 9k pages relating to al Bayoumi -- which broadly speaking is a sliver compared to the over 490,000 pages already produced by the government in the 9/11 case.

Connell's arguments are compelling -- a substantial amount of evidence suggests Bayoumi was a part of material support for the 9/11 conspiracy but remains free and unindicted.

Al Bayoumi was closely tied to the 9/11 conspiracy in his support of hijackers Hazmi and Midhar but also in the FBI's 9/11 follow-up investigation including CIA black sites were looped into that investigation.
